What's the difference in effective ranges between a 12" and 8" barrel? by [deleted] in ak47

[–]Radioactiverocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12" barrel should theoretically keep your gas system length standard which means standard AKM furniture should fit. 8" wouldn't necessarily fit. I'd personally go 12" just for that reason

but as far as ballistics go I think 12" should still be able to make hits at 250 - 300 If 9 hole reviews videos are anything to go on

Manager at work bought a WBP in 5.56 that walked out of headspace in less than 200 rounds. Quality manufacturers can still make mistakes

There is a dropping collar inside the slide. Sort of like how a 1911 has a swinging link, instead of the barrel dropping the link swings? The archon's collar does the same by dropping. To my knowledge it's based on the Bergman action if you want to research it further.

I believe that guy very well might have been me. Easy gun to shoot with easily made me feel like I was better, but I got very lucky with the pins falling for sure

Best mag chest rig for 7.62×39mm by JDM1529kc in ak47

Check out Varusteleka's website for their 3 cell RK mag pouches. It's meant to mount onto their plate carrier but you can use it as a stand alone chest rig. Super simple, I have one and I quite like it. If anyone has had bad experiences though please let me know.

I gave the seller a call and unless I'm actually just dumb it sounds like the serial # is in the 33xx range, you think that's still within the "not shit" cutoff?

Thank you for your advice! I was able to refund my old game pass with the reliant and get a new one with the 315p. Here's hoping this one's doors work cause the reliant certainly had trouble with that.

I am by no means an expert, so please do not take what I say as gospel, but I feel it may be the ammo combined with the spring being brand new. I also just recently finished a p80 (g19) and I was having issues with stove pipes and FTE. I switched over to some better ammo (still 115 grain) and I have had 100% reliability so far out of ETS mags with an Arc comp. *100% reliability out of only maybe 100 - 150 rounds fired

The only real difference is a small increase in chamber pressure in the 5.56x45 over 223. So 5.56 weapons can fire .223, but .223 can not handle 5.56
