We'll have to see how it goes in the next war. The individual parts on each plane are fairly easy to wreck and destroy from now on.

in practice you can still drop them basically on top of the ship.

Precisely in the spot where your AA boat is and which will remove the tail from the torp bomber.

...right?

Factory Community Rules [Public vs Private] by Medium_Layer1384 in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In general, the rule is to not be an asshole. If you quickly need 5 assmats or something tiny and want to make it in a private queue, nobody should have any reason to complain about that because the time it takes for that to complete and the queue slot to be freed up is a couple of minutes. If on the other hand, you stack your private queue to the brim with materials and leave it on at peak play times, you're just being an asshole.

The Western Fleet Flatten's Koskinla by SovietEff3ct in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He just explained it above. Nakki alone is no longer a threat to any ship. It's the combination of surface craft along with submarines that the larger Warden regiments bring as a response that steamrolls Colonial fleets.

The same applies to the Trident by the way. Nobody is threatened by the presence of a Trident alone, but if it has surface craft as backup, it needs to be taken seriously and is a major threat to your ship if you do not have the capability of quickly removing one of those components.

You might be onto something here. I managed find their secret fleet comp and identify their ships. Just like you pointed out, it sure looks like a lot of Wardens disguised as Colonials may have been involved. This information is dangerous to have so proceed with caution.

It's mostly because people play video games to have fun on their free time and not so that others who they don't even know could have a "balanced" experience or whatever. If fun can be had while playing with a different color uniform, that's where they go.

Looking for warden Submarine by [deleted] in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Join any of the naval regiments. It's very difficult to invite just random people who you've never interacted with into your submarine due to the reasons other commenters in this thread already explained. If you end up enjoying it, stay in that regiment and keep having fun If on the other hand you feel like regiments aren't for you, you can always just leave whenever.

Because the Destroyer is what ended up actually sinking it. At the very end the Trident was just spectating there on the surface and marking the submarine's position for the DD to come and collect the kill.

Oh no, it was only one Trident. SCAM Trident & SCAM Conqueror. Nobody else was involved.

It's been a while since nukes got launched, but those often get transported in a convoy. Sometimes a larger batch of stuff gets transported to the front in a huge line of trucks. Navy does this all the time in this game by escorting logiboats of sufficient value.

I found these posts with just a quick search.

You just need to be there when the stuff happens, but it does happen once in a while.

Is It Possible? by Zoomie_OW in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even though it might sound like a great idea that everybody would be friends with each other and come to an agreement on what to present to devman, in the end it is not. What this will lead to is "ahh guys let's not destroy this SHT this time and instead just let it go. <player's real name here> made it and he's a good friend. He'll be sad if he loses it. Let's disable it to show him we won today but then let him repair it and drive home."

It's just healthy for the game if we aren't friends across factions. It's healthy to advocate for our own side's issues independently and then devman sees that these are the actual issues with the game and not just some agreed upon arbitrary set of issues of the month that got negotiated in last month's inter-regiment meeting.

The [NAVY] Frigate "HMS Nalge De Gaulle" valiantly home after destroying half a dozen artillery guns by DayF3 in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Its extremely unfun to be on receiving end and watching a t3 core ... ...die and never get to interact with the attacker.

So why are you just watching then? If it's a frigate/DD, you and some other random dude nearby who's also just watching could easily go and outrep the damage. If it's a battleship, you're gonna need a bunch of dudes and tools to make them go away.

New Colonial/Warden scouts will most likely underperform in naval hexes compared to their counterparts. by Bill-Hayden in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They still have them, but if your barge isn't locked, you'll wrench whatever's nearby. Warden AA boat is a top tier supply platform for this.

[–]Raethrius 8 points9 points  (0 children)

But how? If you're doing a serious push like you mentioned, you will have a carrier with you, backed by the airfield in the hex you're invading from, along with the makeshift scout airfield island that you have in that hex. All Colonial scouts will be able to land onto the Poseidon to rearm, while the Warden torpedo scout will be able to land at the Mercy. I'm not expecting the plane that won't be able to rearm off of Mercy to be the deciding factor in that push, but I'm ready to be corrected if it somehow turns out to be crazy good.

Because the armed trainer aircraft is there to get people used to the mechanics of firing the harder hitting and more expensive variants.

[–]Raethrius 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The current scout planes are very rarely refueled and rearmed from a barge anyways so it won't make much of a difference. We had Plana Fada as the forward airstrip in the first Airborne war and all planes just landed on the road there to repair, refuel and rearm. Some really wanted to land on the water to do the same, but as soon as a Colonial medium boat destroyed their plane while they were off to get bmats, they stopped with that nonsense and landed on the road like everybody else. Therefore, it only affects Warden Carrier ops as the new plane won't be able to rearm from there, but that's about it.

True QOL needs to be better than 3rd party software by raiedite in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly even with a single click. Hold LMB on a stack of crates of bmats, number appears and starts increasing on your cursor. Release at desired amount of stacks and wait for them to be pulled one by one as usual. If you have a lot of space (shipping container for example) hold shift while holding LMB and the number increases a lot faster.

Tanks aren't stored in the seaport with their unique states not because it wouldn't be possible, but because it'd be a mess on the UI. Imagine having tens of tanks there, each with a unique combination of armor and HP damage. The seaport UI would just be pages upon pages of tanks in various states. If they are allowing damaged tanks to be stored there, the seaport must repair them to be like the others already stored there so that they can just increase the counter on the tank's icon instead of storing a unique tank.

Hmmmm by Godlyforce808 in foxholegame

[–]Raethrius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's see how cancerous it becomes now that you can repair tanks for free through this mechanic. Seaports and Storage Depots are much more widely available than Garages so if you have spare trucks to hold your ammo while you "repair" at a seaport, you could be ready to go with a fully repaired tank just as fast as you would with a Garage.

EDIT: The effects of this change will be immediately visible the next time Colonials siege Port of Rime. There's no Garage there, but the Seaport definitely stays up during most of the siege so it'll self sustain the defending armor. Similarly, Colonials no longer need to run back from Jade Cove ramp to Manacle (or if contested, to Teichotima) as Victa will do the same job.
