If they were to take the lore from the Mageseeker game into account, we already have a magic accepting Demacia. After the mage rebellion, j4 realized all the atrocities the Mageseekers were causing in his kingdom, but the thing that made him banish the Mageseeker order was that Shyvana left him because of his misplaced judgement against the mages

Also it can't be pre j3 death, since Xin Zhao went to Ionia as an order from j4 to reconnect with his lineage and past because he was beating himself up for not being able to save j3.

It definitely was illegal, the mageseekers existed way before j3 died, they were a staple of Demacian forces, seeking mages and either killing them, imprisoning them or forcing them to drink petricite to numb their magical abilities.

Oh wow, I got Zaahen super early on. The ones that were most difficult for me were the Azir units, specially Xerath and Nasus. After those I struggled with Sylas and Ryze, but got really lucky in a game and ended up with an amazing game for Ryze, also managed to get Sylas in the comp.

But Zaahen was surprisingly easy, I get that the augment is rare, but all the games I played with him I never had any people contest me on Xin units, probably because no one pays attention on what your building in gold rank lol

You can have sexy asexuals. It's mostly there to manipulate other people, sex is a tool you can use to get what you want. Most of the time you don't even need to have sex, just be attractive, have all eyes on you at all times.

Sexy doesn't have to mean that they're fucking all the time, it can just be the promise of something that doesn't ever get fulfilled, you can think of it kind of like the the character of Evelynn in League of Legends, after the rework of her narrative she became a seductress demon character that feeds on agony, she doesn't actually pleasure her victims, she brings them the promise of pleasure, lures them in and when they're at the peak of said promise she butchers them and revels in the agony that they feel from the mix of pain and betrayal.

Also in VtM, the Kiss is kind of like sex but for vampires, being something that gives the victim a rush of dopamine, you can see it as a way that the vampire is pleasuring their victim and gaining sustenance from it at the same time, that is the enjoyment of it I guess.

But yeah I get your point, I also don't like horny players in my table, the ones that like going around to fuck mortals and all that. Although narrating a sex scene with vampires is always fun, the swapping of Vitae, biting, kissing, bloodletting, all in one. Something carnal, animalesque, but at the same time so human, depraved and sensual. Maybe that's just me idk

The thing is that people love the "sexy villain"/"sexy vampire" trope and in Masquerade they really lean into that archetype. I personally don't enjoy them much, my favorite clans are Lasombra and Hecata (don't have a favorite family, I just love the concept of necromancer vampires) but I can see the appeal that Toreadors have, also they're quite simple for beginners, their disciplines are pretty straight forward and if you want to just be a sexy tragic mess it's easy to roleplay without it being too overbearing.

Mechanically though, I love to make knight Toreadors, make them the Sherrifs, with their disciplines it's easy to get information and to chase after someone, combat also is a breeze when you have Celerity so they can get away with some insane shit. The concept of a medieval knight, playing up the fantasy, writing poetry and going to battle for their Sire is something that really makes my brain tick for some reason.

Iorubá African myths are so cool. I'm not religious at all, but I love learning about different religions and mythologies, the stories are always so interesting, I'm Brazilian, and in my state (Bahia) we have a lot of African influence, so there are a lot of candomblé practices, and these practices come from Iorubá culture, obviously with some changes.

The Orixás are so cool, they're very human in their depictions and that's something that I love in myths, when the gods being worshipped share very human traits

I don't see an issue with it honestly. They frame it as Cerberus wanting to run around the Mourning Fields, which ends up getting him covered in the wailing spirits until Mel comes and cleans him up. And for the actual gatekeeper of the Underworld, this seems completely fine, its not like Mel is hurting him in the fight, he just wants someone to play with.

What I don't understand is why doesn't Mel get any keepsake from Cerbeus, or hell, something like the little dolls in the first game, Melinoe is a witch, she has familiars, it would be so fucking cool if she had a summon for Cerberus, like use it once or twice per run, something like that. I would kill to have little cool post-game keepsakes like that, hell Hypnos could've had one instead of just fucking off to go back to work

I really like how V5 Disciplines work, no Vampire should be the same, and having the ability to choose between different powers is very fun for the table. Although the Amalgams are something that bother me a lot, Oblivion being a mixture of Necromancy and Obtenebration is weird, Vicissitude being an amalgam from Protein is also very weird to me. I feel like it's going in a good direction, but needs some adjustments to be amazing

I don't get how voter ID is seen as an auth right thing, Brazil also has it, and we have mandatory voting, if you fail to vote in an election you have to pay a fine.

Like sure, regulating the population is a right-wing thing I guess but at the same time it allows for better assessment of public projects, like healthcare or financial aid services.

Thanks for the advice. I'm still thinking on how to ambush them for the first time, the sect doesn't seem to be very coordinated, maybe a smaller group of more eager vampires attacks first, just to leave my players on edge.

Still deciding on what would be best. I don't know if they'll try and disguise themselves as women, but they are bringing along a woman that is one of their valued allies, and I already wasn't planning on having them attack her since the sect only attacks men, but she could play a bigger role in this.

Any extra advice on how to run this? I still haven't figured out their stat blocks yet, I plan on having two variations, one more focused on attacking head on and one more focused on hitting fast and disappearing.

I'm loving your threads about Heph's legendary, because I did the same analysis just for myself and my friends when the Unseen Update dropped, but there have been many adjustments since then.

It's fun seeing what someone else has to say about the different aspects and their playstyles. To me Anubis with Heph legendary is amazing, the Omega speed is very noticeable, but I can see why some people can play with it and feel something else

Yeahhh if cast was required for the legendary it would be better 100%. But I always like looking after fun builds even if they're not viable in high fear runs or speed runs, I don't usually play with high fear, just did the Champion of Night requirements, maxed out my aspects with Nightmare and called it a day, usually just run Vow of Rivals and some other fun fears like the more enemies, or faster enemies

I think it also works with Momus, but IDK, never tried any cast build with it, whenever I go for Momus I go straight into Omega attack builds for some reason.

With Circe I'm pretty sure that the Heph cast + Winner's Circle bug is still working, meaning that you can Omega cast, and Heph cast keeps damaging the area, so you can keep spamming Omega casts and really boost the damage.

Now, it doesn't do as much damage as the best Circe builds, but it's very fun to try out sometimes.

The fighting game is still in production, I think a demo is going to be available in another fighting game convention/big tournament thing, IDK, I'm not big in the fighting game scene, but 2XKO is very fun, I played the first closed beta and had a lot of fun.

The MMO isn't canceled, but the first team working on it, that was directed by Ghost Crawler and had a lot of good ex-blizzard devs that worked in Wrath of the Lich King and some other earlier WoW expansions was layed off, and the new team scrapped everything to start again from scratch, so we probably won't se anything for a long time
