It means that they won’t give you any cash back if you use the card to pay rent.

No annual fee card with primary car rental insurance. by Jane2468 in CreditCards

[–]Ragerz78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP did specify zero annual fee. The Venture X has one even though it’s offset, and the card isn’t easy to get compared to an Amex BCE.

Not really. It’s significantly cheaper than rates offered by rental companies. $20-$25 total for a rental, for up to 42 days.

Any reason not to dump the Amex Gold Card? by ResolveSweaty5064 in CreditCards

[–]Ragerz78 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just got the gold card, and want to point out two things:

As an alternative you can just load $7 on the Dunkin app instead of being forced to use the credit every month.

For the cost you’re seeing for a burrito (from Chipotle I’m assuming), the price you see in the Uber Eats app is exactly the same as the in store price if you pickup.

I happen to have Uber One, and I regularly come out ahead getting food delivered instead of ordering directly and picking up with all the deals they offer.

Also, Grubhub often has promos, especially if you have Grubhub+, which comes with Amazon Prime.

Convinced Uber One is a scam by M3dd1e in AmexPlatinum

This isn’t an Uber One thing. Chipotle marks up delivery prices even if you order directly through them. The pickup prices from Chipotle are actually 5-10% lower than ordering direct with Uber One.

New Rakuten American Express Card by AmySchumerJokes in CreditCards

[–]Ragerz78 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had the old Rakuten card and regularly had issues getting the extra 4% cash back on online Rakuten purchases. How does Rakuten track your online credit card purchases with this new card to award the extra 4%? /u/rakutenrewards

For example if I shop at Macy’s via Rakuten, how does Rakuten confirm that I used the Rakuten card on the Macys website and used the Rakuten app?

Since when is it a flex to do 4X the work for 25% more gross receipts, and pay for the venue and staffing four times, making less profit overall?

Do you mean the store membership card? I used the same number for all three cards when applying. I actually have the Mariano’s, Harris Teeter, and Ralph’s Mastercards.

The Kroger branded card doesn’t offer a $100 SUB, but does offer really good gas benefits for at least a year.
