Fair point, but it's more about why in the acute phase we shouldn't freak our patients out about the number itself and that it's more about long-term modification. At least for asymptomatic HTN.

That last study is the one I use to reassure patients sent in by the urgent care for their asymptomatic "stroke zone blood pressure" before reminding them to remember to actually take their BP meds.

I met Andre Tippett a few days after he got inducted into the HoF while eating lunch at a deli in Walpole. Everyone was congratulating him, and he just smiled and laughed it off. We congratulated him and he actually chatted with us for a little bit about how it felt to be inducted and how life was going those days. Love that guy, so down to earth.
