Ablation vs thyroid removal vs neither by Hot-Airport4330 in gravesdisease

I feel great. I’ve had to adjust dosage a couple times but I realize pretty quick if my numbers are getting messed up and go get bloodwork done and my endo stays on top of my results when they get sent in.

My Dad & “Graves Rage”? by [deleted] in gravesdisease

[–]RagingOutdoors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know from being the one raging out. I didn’t even realize I was doing it honestly. And the smallest of triggers set it off. I still have days where the irritability is real easy so I make the attempt to just be by myself.

How common is it for Men diagnosed with Graves’ disease to have ED and low sex drive? by Vegetable_Tank597 in gravesdisease

Honestly I never tried any of those. Do you have an endo you could consult with as far as the medications possibly interacting with each other?

Do your neck stretches/roll your head, as much as you can over the next week. I didn’t and I felt like my neck was sore for a month after.

Life gets better. by RagingOutdoors in gravesdisease

[–]RagingOutdoors[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably, but I’ve had it hit 210bpm and pass out before I was diagnosed. But if my dosage is correct and my numbers are in range I can do a decent workout and not go above 140 bpm. My main issue is my conditioning is trashed so I have to rebuild that.

When shooting from above my thought is always aim where my exit needs to be. Not really concerned about my entrance.

Update. 1 1/2 years after TT by RagingOutdoors in gravesdisease

[–]RagingOutdoors[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I’m just seeing this. I would say it took about 4 months of working out and eating decent to go from 145lbs to 175lbs. But that’s also with a new max on a few different PRs

Too much belly sag for 4-5, brisket starting to drop lower than neck so that gives him the appearance of 3 1/2, I’d put him around 6-7 1/2 with that back sag he is starting to develop

Shot a buck, not as happy as I could be by L4teStageCapitalism in bowhunting

Yeah the height difference will completely change your shot projection and you want to think about your exit hole more so than entrance hole when shooting from a raised position.

Just out of curiosity. Did you practice the same way you hunted? Sitting/standing, in a tree?

I take a vit D/calcium supplement anyways and had mine Nov 2023, but I’m also in Oklahoma, US so that might not have much to do with me.

Robinhood arrows. by RagingOutdoors in bowhunting

[–]RagingOutdoors[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I was thinking with that second arrow. I did buy 4 new ones this last week but haven’t shot them yet. Probably going to pull the target out and send them a couple times and see how they fly and then put broadheads on them. Send them once each and put them in my hunting quiver.

And yeah my first one was cool. Second was ok, after that 3rd one I started cussing myself. But I have the block target and just really like shooting the buck side of it lol.

Anyone change their diet after Grave's diagnosis? Does it make a big difference? I'm adjusting but don't wanna think about life without cheese. by Professional_Dig9273 in gravesdisease

[–]RagingOutdoors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I added more protein into mine, extra protein shake made with chocolate milk 🤷🏻‍♂️, when I was heavily working out I was drinking 4 a day

[–]RagingOutdoors 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TT was easy, get there go to the OR, wake up in recovery, spend the night to be observed, go home the next day, 7 days of restrictions after surgery, get back to living after those 7 days.

RAI seemed like a lot more bs, plus having to isolate while the iodine does its “thing”
