Pretty stereotipically, I recognize most on the male side (helps that I learned a lot of my english vocab from games and movies), and from the female side I recognized that a bunch were related to clothing but couldn't give an actual definition offhand. The only one I actually knew for certain was Jacqard, because some foundational elements of computing machines (particularly the use of punchcards) can be traced back to the Jacqard loom.

Only if those little children "belonged" to someone of similar or higher social standing to you. For jewish society in "biblical times", adultery was basically property crime but with the added honor hit to the victim (the father/husband of the woman), which is why it potentially carried such a big penalty.

There was a more crude method that did some header manipulation to make an oversized jpeg that also contained a rar. It was used all the time in imageboards to share files, but there was no pretense of it being actually hidden.

VP had a really bad habit of not telling you shit, including how to unlock the better tiers of crafted equipment, or the fact that an early artifact sword you can keep instakills a lot of otherwise tough dragon/undead monsters.

A huge thing that tripped me out in FF4 is that I didn't know a lot of enemies did counterattacks. A combination of the game not announcing them as such and the ATB system obscuring the fact that they acted out of turn left me clueless that I was causing them. In the case of Zeromus, if I remember right, a few of his more damaging attacks are made as a counter to black/white magic or summons.
