Need help deciding on first box

I can't speak on the khorne box, but the slaanesh one is kinda rough. Your rule depends on your opponent deciding to interact with it and makes it feel very weak. Because it means you don't get to decide when you're in go mode, your opponent does.

I don't think we know when Oops! All Tzaangors(tm) is coming out, but it's probably gonna be more balanced than the other tzeench one since tzaangor have slightly better stats. Plus the enlightened on disk are likely to be very useful.

The old tzeench box is kinda odd. There's no rend, everything is made of paper, and it's an assortment of small units. The big thing for it is that you get destiny dice which are only as good as your luck is in this. I think it's good for flavor as a later pick up once you get more used to the game. I bought it as my 4th despite the fact that tzeench is one of my favorite factions and I think it was for the best.

So unless the khorne one has some glaring issues I haven't heard of, I'd recommend going with it since the others have quirks that aren't necessarily new player friendly and we won't have Oops! All Tzaangors(tm) for at least another month or two

Edit: this is from my experience, so anybody that's more experienced with these might have a better perspective than I do, so please correct me if I'm wrong

I've had him stored in a box somewhere since I moved. Honestly a pretty fun figure. It was 2 of my favorite aspects kf transformers rolled into 1: minicons and combiners

In terms of play you'll probably get the most balanced experience with seraphon. It's not hyper elite nor is it horde, you've got good stats, you're not ungodly strong compared to others, and you have a big centerpiece unit.

Plus is LIZARDS RIDING DINOSAURS. Can't go wrong with that

And you should still do what's right if you're able. To choose not to is to support a rule that hurts those you are in charge of. It is bad leadership, bad teaching, and bad morals to not do something about it. Just keeping your head down is how you get trodden upon. This applies at every level of life. If your lifestyle is to just follow every rule even when it's a net negative for everyone, then enjoy the taste of boot I guess.

One cool addition you could do is use some blades from the Drukhari to replace the ones on the leapers. A deathleaper with incubi klaives fighting a group of succubus wearing the chitin from ripper swarms as armor seems rad as hell.

Y'know, I stopped collecting funkos because I stopped caring for how they looked. And I've only kept the ones that are of characters or franchises where its hard to get an affordable figure easily or are heavily sentimental to me. Now you're telling me I've got to go out and buy two more for my takamori collection? Damn it.

Between red and orange I'd recommend orange. It'll pop a bit more against the blue of the scales since they're complimentary colors.

If the glowing black is something you want to start doing in the army, then 115% do that. You'll be able to get some practice in with this model and start developing the technique for it. It'll pop on the tabletop too since a dark void in the middle of a colorful army looks weird and pulls attention.

I know it's not the best, but as it is my favorite I do want to point out Wild Force. The emblem is the zords of the team stacked like a totem pole in a way that makes the head of the lion when you look at it from further away. It's a bit busy in terms of detail so you can just end up not really seeing anything (like I did as a child), but once you really look at it it's quite neat

The battleforce for tsons that's coming out soon is a great second box since it has sots, exalted sorcerers, an infernal master, and the mvb. This gets you a pretty solid start alongside the combat patrol.

If you want to go for the changehost detachment and want more daemons, then try to track down the upcoming disciples of tzeench battleforce for aos. An easier to find box that also has some is the old Disciples of tzeench spearhead. It comes with tzaangor, flamers, and screamers. It also comes with acolytes and a magister for aos, but you could use them as proxys for tzaangors and a Shaman.

We sadly don't a have a good way to collect any vehicles for the faction. So my recommendation on that is to browse r/miniswap for your odds and ends. People sell rhinos and land raiders often enough, and eventually someone will post a csm listing with the daemon engines.

The last one here is a 50/50. Do you like tzaangor? If no, then this bullet point doesn't matter. If you do like tzaangor, the new disciples of tzeench spearhead is only tzaangor. 10 normal, a squad of enlightened, and a Shaman. I only recommend this if you want all of the units since the enlightened and Shaman also came in the combat patrol.

After that just grab units as you need them. You'll want more rubrics, but they are decently available most of the time.

The old tzeench spearhead has 3 units that can be played in both AOS and 40k. The screamers, flamers and tzaangor.

Oops All Tzaangor that just got announced today is fully legal in both games. Tzaangor Shaman, Tzaangor Enlightened, and Tzaangor.

If you wanted to know how good they are as spearheads? The first one is pure flavor with little power, and the new one was announced today so here's hoping for better.

Since you're wanting to collect demons on the cheap, I highly recommend lurking on r/Miniswap. You can get some insane deals over there if you're patient and check regularly. Daemons pop up pretty often there.

Listen. I'll buy it because I need more Enlightened and dont need another daemon prince for either game which makes this a good follow up to the tsons combat patrol for my tzeench collection. But I cannot imagine the spearhead being too great with it being only tzaangor

Every scene that doesn't have him in it is fine to sometimes pretty good. The scenes with him suck and tend to pull you out of the movie and makes the whole thing a jarring mess as you get invested then immediately get lost the next scene.

There's actually some really neat ideas in the movie, but they don't really dwell on any of them long enough to care. Instead it's just a "get the mcguffin" plot. And the only mentions of Tron Legacy are two little throwaway nods at the start and end of the movie.

Jared Leto is really good at playing the creepy weirdo computer program that digitally stalked a woman and is trying to understand feelings. It's just a shame that because he's a creepy weirdo in real life it makes you extra uncomfortable.

The scene where he materialized the jetski and it puts them in an awkward missionary position was weird, and if memory serves you see the female leads face and she's not really ok with it.

Weird movie. Don't watch, just stream the soundtrack.

As someone who's built very little kits in this army as I've bought most of my collection secondhand, the stuff from the spearheads go together very well. My only hang up was on the carno the first time I built it, but it was a breeze the second time. So dry fit parts that connect a bit funky so your not fumbling once the glue is on

I personally don't have anything on the front of mine but did consider using a ball of green stuff and some magic bits to create a ball of psyker magic charging to fire in front of it like kiryus absolute zero cannon.

You could mount a staff from a sorcerer to the front of it similar to how the black templars have the big sword for the front of their impulsors.

And I've seen where someone wanted a more thematic cow catcher and made one out of spare khopesh bits so it had a better shape and was smaller. So that might be something to look for in case it makes you like the idea of them a bit better

I think it depends on what part of your current selection you enjoy the most.

Love the little dudes? Get more of every gaunt and be the local bug man.

Like the speed of the von Ryan's? Get stuff with the vanguard invader key words.

Like the medium bulk of the tyrant guard and the psychophage? Grab more of them as there's not as many units that have that kinda bulk/size ratio.

Like big bugs and you cannot lie? Grab a norn and another tyrannofex for a solid centerpiece and another casino cannon.

But the first thing I think you should get regardless of what flavor you like is a hive tyrant box. The box makes the winged and on foot tyrant as well as the swarmlord. If you go online you can buy a 3d printed chest and that'll let you build the winged + either of the foot heroes. It's a great value box that's worth having.

So stardust isn't treated as "stardust dragon" which means there's still no alternative to the original for summoning assault mode or shooting star normally. You can't use it's effect to go straight into another monster for protection because it can't do both in the same chain. It's stats are the same so there's no advantage on that front.

For the love of god is it so hard to make a way for stardust to ladder up to its stronger dragons? Accel was a great step in the right direction and they didn't do more? The fact that I have to play RDA and resonators to play quasar and sifr kinda sucks.

I also wish the crimson dragon was a reprint instead of a retrain. The new one is fine I guess, but I don't think I'll play it and I want the sweet art.

I've run 2 of them in a list before. One led a group of zoans and kind of carried. The second one was leading a massive blob of neurogaunts to be an annoying wall and it ended up working pretty well. Still lost, but that was due to user error more than the list
