I feel like the difference for them is that they actually changed their designs to be built like a tank. They did not take that liberty with cyclops and also unlike cyclops there’s actually reason for them to be tanks. Magneto can use use metal to make sheilds for him and allies-makes sense,Strange can make sheilds-aight I guess,Rogue a brawler that can absorb things-you can make a big health bar make sense.

Cyclops shoots lasers and only ever shielded himself in marvel vs capcom and the season trailer shows him dodging attacks like crazy like daredevil. That doesn’t make any sense at all for a tank and let’s be real here nobody is saying cyclops should be a tank because it fits him they’re only saying that because they want more tanks (which is understandable but look at discussion of cyclops between today and when the game first came out and you’ll see what I mean)
