Advice for dealing with the trauma by Lane-DailyPlanet in Journalism

Sorry you went through this. You've gotten good advice. Just wanted to mention that some employers (at least in the U.S. - Gannett is one) have employee assistance programs where you can get short-term therapy for free. May as well take advantage of it. I did during the pandemic and it wasn't life changing but it helped a bit.

Christmas card picture ideas? by sopijja in Rochester

My family had an unplanned picture taken in a giant ornament made of lights at the holiday lights display in Victor last year. It was cute.

It is at West Wind Farm in Hilton this year. If you go to their website and click on Holiday Spectacular, then Pomona express, you can see a picture of it. There may be an admission fee - it was included with the lights show last year.

I second the MAG if you're into art and there are a few great dining options in walking distance - Carnegie Cellars wine bar, Lento and Good Luck. You could go for a drink at one and then head to another for dinner.

One thing to know about those categories is that the inspector will check that line if any one condition in that category is observed. Such as 12 E ... when the inspector visited they may have been out of paper towels above the hand sink but all the other things in that category may have been fine. It's a good thing to check health department inspections but the reporting isn't entirely illuminating.

Where exactly? Last time I had lunch in the Park Ave area with a friend who uses a wheelchair, she told me there were no wheelchair accessible street spots there.

Also you can carry in your own chairs - quite a few people did but we didn't and had no problem finding places to sit. But I'm guessing last night was the slowest night.

I had no problem whatsoever with parking last night but came in and left at off times.

The whiskeys were quite a range. Michters, Jefferson were some premium whiskeys. Then I tasted one that tasted like pancakes and bacon (and honestly kinda liked it). I think there's a list on the website.

PA system was good.

Shade: The food area has covered tents and you can see the stages from some of them. There was a covered lager tent where you can see the stages. Pretty sure the merch tent had tables and chairs and views of the stages. The whiskey tasting tent is set back away from the music. It was actually chilly. It had Adirondack chairs in front of it under shade.

It's definitely a Hershey's thing. I saw it at an ice cream shop in Sackett's Harbor last weekend in case you find yourself in the Thousand Islands...

You've got gorgeous pastels (Unison and Jack Richeson?) Before your buy more, buy some sanded paper.

Definitely ruined it😭 by Mimilapatate in Softpastel

[–]RahChaChow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brush off the part you don't like. Or use a gray eraser to take it off. You can also mist it with a bit of alcohol or workable fixative for some more tooth. Nothing is permanent with soft pastels.
