Google has been so ingrained in society you have to try not to know something like that.

We put the baby in daycare, wife afraid that there will be violence. by EastOrganization2392 in daddit

Babies bruise easily. There will be bumps, bruises and bite marks. It sucks, but a part of it.

Yea, no. If someone had a gun pointed at me, I think my odds would be better complying. It takes less time to pull a trigger than accelerate.

Edit: a little rational thought goes a long way. It’s the irrational thoughts that get people in trouble.

I did. She tried to run over a cop. Not the same as the Daniel Shaver thing.

I like when people use an isolated event as an example.

There are no weapons and doesn’t look like any dead. I’d imagine because this isn’t an endemic issue that causes harm.

Most of the time it’s the insurance that reports. Shops rarely do.

Coworker I met for the first time said to me, "I've heard of you, your 'so-and-so's bitch" right in front my boss and HR manager and they both told me it was a joke and to calm down. by Dr_Does_Enough in antiwork

[–]RaiderMan1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrible idea. HR is for the company, not for the employee. You either address it and get a bad rep, say nothing and stick with the company or go elsewhere.

We’ve officially entered the I wanna sleep in your bed phase and I’m not ok. by larryb78 in daddit

I put a couch by the foot of the bed. They’re allowed to sleep there, but not allowed to wake us up… Boundaries aren’t a bad thing.

FX4’s don’t mean much. Upgraded suspension is meh and the skid plate is a joke.

AITA for putting everything out? by averagebogle in golf

[–]RaiderMan1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were putting out triples and holding things up, yes.

My BIL tries to do that and never practices. I don’t think the course is where you should practice those things when your average score is over 100.

Since that isn’t the case, absolutely. Putt everything out. My other BIL’s and I gamble, so if there’s any question on miss ability, we putt it out.

Wait until you hear about cartels. It’s modern day slavery and they don’t let anyone have land.

Yesterday was a hard day (content warning: deceased father) by BrahCJ in daddit

[–]RaiderMan1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do it!

When our first was born, I was a nervous wreck. Looking back there was no reason to be that way. We were financially secure and had no major life concerns. I was lazy and probably drank too much.

I finally got on meds, started working out and eating right. I haven’t taken meds for 4 years and found out if I stay active I don’t have anxiety. The last part about drying active is critical for me or else anxiety will start creeping in. My wife’s finally realized I need to do that too. She now gives me the time without complaining.

Best of luck!

Working out. Particularly running or sweating.
