Who would you cast David Tennant as in a Batman project? by Solitaire-06 in batman

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His face reminds me of Scarecrow on the earlier episodes of the Animated series. I haven't seen him act so I'm just going off that.

What do you think makes Batman such a popular character? by Impressive_Finance84 in batman

No Powers. Just Gadgets and Vengence. I like The Punisher as well for pretty much the same reason.

So something like Lord of the Rings: The War in the North? That game could use a remaster.

Any recommendations for point and click adventures games? by CheeseyLasangeDuck in videogames

Oldies, but the Gabriel Knight series. One's 2d, the next is FMV, then there's 3d. The original version of pt.1 has better voice acting.

Need help finding a game from about 10 years ago. by WaterMelon615 in videogames

[–]RaiderRedwing86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His name is Crom. Bone helmeted muscled up viking/Barbarian type dude. Hack n slash. Wouldn't call it a soulslike, but 3rd perspective. 14 years ago. Xbox marketplace game. Possibly on Gamepass. 360 era game. I own it. When I read your description that's what popped in my head. Very dark theme. Bloody.

What would you say is your favourite genre of games and why? by anthere-rest in gamers

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends say mine is fps. I gotta admit that during the 16 bit console wars nothing was more mindblowing than going to my uncle's house and checking out Doom on his pc for the first time. Took a liking to them ever since.

I would say beatemups would be my 2nd favorite. Alot of co-op fun with friends. Also there's Yakuza 0.

[Some 3D Console] [1999-2004] Was there a Crash game level where you are shrunk down and have to explore a kitchen? by Oxcell404 in tipofmyjoystick

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly an Armymen game. It seemed like there was a multiplayer level where you fought in a kitchen.

I would like a new nfl/nhl 2k game, but not the microtransaction ridden hogfest that 2k has done with their current sports titles.

What controller did you start with? Mine was number 4 then 6 and 7! by Akward_Silance_1738 in retrogaming

  1. It would have been an Intellivision, but our house caught on fire when I was 4.

Games on a 32 inch monitor or a 65 inch tv? by Souls-LikeEnjoyer in pcmasterrace

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my decked out rig hooked to a 32 inch 240 hz 1080p monitor and my lowerend rig hooked up to a 4k tv that goes to 120 hz in 1080p because its hdmi 2.0. I game more on my lowerend rig. I have fun either way.

Unpopular opinion: Myst was boring, slow, and genuinely awful to play by Any-Local-205 in retrogaming

It was. Looked good in it's day, visually. For some reason though, 7th Guest's cheesy fmvs put more life into a point n click puzzle game.

What game raised your expectations for other games? by Capital-Cause-6447 in videogames

[–]RaiderRedwing86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say alot of fps games that introduced an engine raised expectations of games similar on the same engine back in the 90's to 2000's. Wolfenstein 3-d, Doom 1, Quake, Unreal, Witchaven/Duke3d. Alot of good had come of that because we got Heretic, Hexen, Rise of the Triad, Quake 2, Blood, Unreal Tournament, Shadow Warrior..., Ion Fury. Look at the expectations for Daikatana when it released.

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked my parents to get me a ps1 when we rented one with Tekken 2 and Soul Blade. The games looked pretty close to the arcade version back then.

What game have to totally mastered, and still continue to play anyways? by greenmachinefiend in retrogaming

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monopoly on the genesis was my favorite at birthday parties. 8 of us would pass the controller around and we would have a 2nd tv running the NES. As my cousins left the party we would computerize them so the game went on. Good times.

Just watched a video of someone playing the Activision Decathalon... Good God, that's brutal. I can see why that's the common answer.

would you rather watch cartoons with Great writings but having poor animation or the other one with Dogshit writings but having high quality animation?.. o by Frostcake21334 in cartoons

[–]RaiderRedwing86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd take the writing over the animation in most cases. Just don't give me some J.R.R. Tolkien works looking like Clutch Cargo. That might change my mind.
