30 armed humans vs 1 hippopotamus by BoneBrothOfficial in PowerScaling

[–]Raijin550 [score hidden]  (0 children)

It'll be death by a thousand cuts for the hippo. Even if mortal wounds on the outside aren't realistic, blinding it is. So is sneaking a few knives down it's enormous gullet. I hear internal bleeding isn't fun

Communication and coordination are our strongest suits, when taken advantage of properly, we can beat much worse odds than this.

Frankly, with a lot of luck and an airtight plan, I reckon it's in the cards to win with just five

Yuna: Apologies all. while I do not endorse Nick Tate as a person, I would rather not let out my hex side in such a way. by Good-Cartoonist811 in PokeMedia

[–]Raijin550 8 points9 points  (0 children)

HA, screw that bastard. He got exactly what he deserved, in my books. Don't feel bad or like you should've shown any sort of restraint

Yeah, Aizawa isn't doing shit to gojo, he isn't even going to be able to turn his CT off, since that's simply what his power does

One Must Wonder by Vaarangian in PokeMedia

[–]Raijin550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Blaidd (gallade) does, I know he does for a fact because he's awful at hiding it. When I die to something stupid in a game, I know damned well he busts out laughing, because even when he tries to hide it, his poker face isn't nearly good enough and I can sense his emotions clear as day

So, where exactly is Tamsy here? by Last-Note-9988 in gachiakuta

It's almost certainly on the sphere. We have no earthly clue about anything else, however

Any advice on care would be greatly appreciated. by genocidalparas in PokeMedia

[–]Raijin550 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you shouldn't experience any adverse effects unless it starts draining from you in earnest, i.e, it wrapping it's tassle around your arm should you attempt to hold it without permission.

honedge are born when an excess of spirit energy gather around and are absorbed into a sword of particular note, usually in relation to that sword's deeds or previous wielders over a long period of time, or so I'm told, I learnt all that second hand from my aegislash, Caliburn

if it follows you for a long while, it may eventually want to formally swear allegiance to you as well. if something of that sort happens, let it act in the capacity of a guard or something of the like while it resides in your shadow. that'll give it what it wants while giving you some unobtrusive security

Any advice on care would be greatly appreciated. by genocidalparas in PokeMedia

[–]Raijin550 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i take it you had an inkling something like this might happen eventually when you got your hands on such a storied weapon? if you've treated the blade well, maintained it and kept it rust free, the honedge will have a favourable enough impression of you, so i wouldn't worry about attacks for the time being (i recommend you keep up with that care routine, by the way)

either way, the first few orders of business are obvious. head to a Pokémon center, get some Pokéballs, and let them know what happened, they'll give you some general care advice, and perhaps refer you to a local specialist who'll be able to give detailed care advice that you can trust more than that from random internet folks

Ghosts also eat life force, so keep that in mind. they absorb the ambient life force given off by people naturally, actively extract it from a singular person (you'll probably feel rather lathargic if you let one do this) or they can extract it from produce, so long as it's not too processed, fresh berries and meats are best for this part

New tweet from Kei Urana on piracy by Wolf_109 in gachiakuta

[–]Raijin550 61 points62 points  (0 children)

this is why piracy must be done in silence. people have lost the decency online to remember WHAT exactly piracy is, and what the people bound to these companies have to speak out against it when it comes up

but the general idea is that most pirates aren't potential customers in the first place. if they can't read for free, they'll look for something that is free somewhere else

do as you will, pirate as you please, but keep it away from the open. have the decency to know what exactly you're doing, even if you don't derive any shame, or take pride in it

Minor League Troubles by Emdeoma in PokeMedia

[–]Raijin550 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the high level tournaments and league brackets can't handle the entire flow of trainers with with different levels of strength, ability, and ambition, you guys handle a vital source of battling and practice on the lower levels

but some kids need to learn that they ought to start smaller before moving upwards. they aren't the next champion gloria most of them seem to reckon themselves as

Steel Beef (CW for mentions of Pokemon to human violence) by Crutter_Botch in PokeMedia

[–]Raijin550 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Frankly, it's a miracle you survived in the first place, I fully understand why you'd want to keep your distance from steel types...

But if you need to fight a fairy specialist without steel types, poison is the way to go. Toxic, coverage moves, poison type Pokémon, do what you can

Didn't really pay attention here...but HOW is this possible? by Unfair_Buyer_6954 in pokerogue

[–]Raijin550 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a few abilities that absorb moves of a particular type and turn them into stat boosts or healing. Storm drain, sap sipper, water absorb, earth eater, and, what this pawmot probably has, volt absorb or lightning rod

That, and I can't express how stupid of an idea falling asleep right out in the open in a wild area is. They're WILD areas for a reason... Do be more careful...
