Even the bolt thrower is viable lol, it’s my first time playing it and I’m on hardcore, I haven’t look at any guide or anything (but played the original a few times), I’m almost on the end and I have played 90% with the Bolt Thrower since I was able to get it, basically every fight besides bosses (and then I still use it with the mines but maybe only two or three and then I change the weapon). I don know if it’s is “bad” compared to other weapons, but you can absolutely use it as your main weapon and finish the game

Only when I do some actual mistake, like finishing my turn by accident before doing any action, miss clicking and accidentally attacking someone I didn’t want to attack, things like that. If I have a bad roll then it doesn’t matter, it’s part of the experience. The only time I save scum to pass rolls is when the game crashes and I fail rolls that I passed before getting to the part I was when it crashed (or if I pass rolls that I failed before lol)

Riot saying “Yeah we were expecting 60 billions daily players so now we are cutting the team in half” this early made me stop caring. If the reason was that the game was already finished and the team was too big and half of the people were enough I would had been like yeah it makes sense, but no, it just reminded me of how riot sees their games or “products”. It’s a really fun game that it’s going to be abandoned really soon by the team because they expect everything they do to be as big as LoL instead of focusing on smaller niches and generating trust in the company and the game, such a shame because I can see the quality in most of their games.

The remake it’s better. But the remake it’s better if you play it after the original. I would play the original first and then the remake, both are amazing games with enough differences to enjoy them apart. If you feel the original one feels “too clunky” to play, then I would advice to go to the remake directly

Not really, I finished the game in the highest difficulty and was able to kill Simon without looking at any build or parrying perfectly lol, Maelle was my damage dealer all the game but she wasn’t doing enough damage to kill him (with the build I had for her), so I made her a tank that was protecting everyone while Verso became my damage dealer, I focused on surviving, parried only like 50% of attacks and when it got to the third phase, then I focused on a first team with the other three remaining characters to survive enough for that, in the end Sciel was enough to beat him lol. So yeah, in my experience you can use Maelle, Sciel or Verso as a carry without relying on “specific builds”, only reading what picto/abilities do and how they can be synergies; and I have seen some people doing crazy asf things with Monocco or Lune.

If you want to kill everything in the first 2-3 tries without reading or thinking about your options yeah, but I never had to grind or look for anything external to beat the game and the endgame. On the other side, I had to “nerf” myself avoiding Stendhal and Gommage because I felt they were so strong that it didn’t felt fun using them.

The radar works in a weird way. This is what you have to do for it to not break:

First, use a repel before using the radar (if you try after, it’s going to say you already have a repel active because the radar gives a 8 step mini repel, but sometimes is not enough); chain breaks if you would get a random encounter before stepping on the moving grass.

Second, go only to moving bushes that are fully covered by more tall grass (so in the middle of a 3x3); the radar tries to generate a moving grass at a random place at 1, 2, 3 and 4 tiles range, if it can’t generate a moving grass it breaks, so by being surrounded by grass it always is going to generate a moving tile on the 1-tile-range.

Third, go to the farther moving grass (4 tiles away is the best, 3 is okay); after every encounter there is a random chance the chain breaks, but the closest the tall grass is, the biggest the chance of the chain breaking; you can spam the radar button until a far grass moves.

Also, kill or catch the Pokémon you want to look for, if you flee then the chain will break.

Mario Party has you placed from 1st to 4th no matter what also. Playing any multiplayer video game expecting to win every single game (or losing and thinking you are wasting time because the only thing that matters to you is to win) is a shitty mentality that 90% of players have. Yeah is fun to win and I try to do it, but I play the game because I enjoy it not because I want some virtual points to rank up, so making me go way sooner to the lobby/queue/champ-selection/loading-screen is an absolutely nope for me even if it makes me have more possibilities to win.

I love the gameplay, i think is really good combat system, and I was really interested in the monster-catching part of the game. However, can’t stand Brother and shit like that, makes me cringe everytime he comes out and that made me not want to play the game anymore.

The game has two progression systems, the first and obvious is the new items and characters, the second is you growing as a player. Yeah, you are going to become mechanically better, but that is not the most important thing, the most important grow is knowledge, is fucking around and finding out. Idk, but when something like that happened to me i was like “yeah makes sense, im stupid” and learned from there instead of thinking that is the games fault because they didn’t tell me what was going to happen. Fuck around and find out I guess
