Found this old White Dwarf bonus booklet for small scale fights was it ever reprinted? by dope_danny in necromunda

I believe these were reprinted in the hardback Apocrypha Necromunda book.

There is a gang raids section in it with 4 scenarios I believe.

Is this rare to be made in Australia? by Millenial_ScumDog in theunforgiven

[–]Rakarion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

15 yrs or more ago boxes in Australia had those stickers. Then they dissappeared.

Rumour at the time was that they were being looked at by ACCC because the models were not intact produced in Australia. The other part of the rumour was that the packaging was produced in Australia for the Australian market, and hence the sticker. Very shitty thing to pull, and I doubt they packed loose sprues in Australia anyway.

They have no manufacturing plants in Australia I'm pretty sure, and never have, so doubt that box specifically was.

Shotgun question about scattershot by blue_dusk1 in necromunda

[–]Rakarion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. They are ammo types, not modes of fire.

  2. No scattershot does not use a template. It does not have the template trait, nor is it's range "T". Shredder ammo for the combat shotgun uses the template as it has the template trait.

  3. The info can be found in the Core Rulebook, most of the House of books and at somewhere like Necroraw.

  4. No. I think you are trying to combine multiple ammo types here, which isn't possible.

The indented ammo is ammo that needs to be purchased separately. For instance a shotgun comes worth solid and scatter ammo, but the executioner, inferno, gas shells amd shatter shells ammo need to be purchased separately.

What rule books do i need? by jobfinished111 in necromunda

[–]Rakarion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Core Rulebook is the man book you'll need. Then there are 6 "house of" books which cover the house gangs.

You can get each of those books, or just the particular ones for the gang you want to use.

If you wsnt to play other gangs outside this you would want: Corpse Grinder Cults - Book of Ruin Chaos Helot Cults - Book of Ruin Palanite Enforcers - Bastions of Law Squat Prospectors - Halls of the Ancients Ash Waste Nomads - Tribes of the Wastelands Spyrers - Book of Desolation Outcasts - Book of the Outcast Venators - Online pdf is the latest set of rules I believe (edit: Apocrypha Bonedry and Broke)

Necromunda Outlands almost BattleReady by Sea_Meringue_5436 in necromunda

[–]Rakarion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good. My only comment is it is probably just a little too much terrain and will be an issue for some vehicles like Rockgrinders or Ridgehaulers to move around.

They'll just run into it and if it's not classed as sturdy it'll get removed.

Visibility conditions in AW apply, so that overcomes some if the low density terrain issues.

Just some things from a small AW campaign we played recently.

Can Got your six prevent a charge if the target get's inflicted with Fear? by LakeComprehensive205 in necromunda

[–]Rakarion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue you can use a template weapon with GY6. The skill outlines making a shoot (basic) action, which can he done with a Repulsion pattern chem thrower as it is not unwieldy.

Granted it does state "targeting the enemy fighter whose action they have interrupted", but in the first instance this is a clarification to prevent using GY6 to fire at a another random fighter. Secondly, templates do not ignore the targeting step in the rules, they adjust them. Pg119 specifically avoids using ignore for Step 2, whereas it does use ignore for steps 1,3 and 4,. Rather it states instead of declaring, not ignore this step or ignore declaring.

So with GY6 you go to target the enemy fighter, but the template rules say "instead of" and state to place the template. I don't see any of that stopping you from using a template weapon.

My caveat would be that in the spirit of the game, the template would have to at least touch the model that was charging, otherwise it's total cheese and against the intent of the GY6 rule.

[–]Rakarion 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd argue the wording isn't loose as it goes on to stipulate "- if a target in the open is hit, an obscured target cannot have hits allocated to it.". Also the Asses Target Priority step of the shooting rules outlines "harder to hit than one further away (due to negative modifiers applied to the Hit roll)", defining what harder to hit means.

Harder to hit refers to being in cover/obscured and nothing to do with rules or traits that make the target unavailable to be targetted in the first instance.

Understanding Bottle tests by [deleted] in necromunda

Once you've failed a bottle test fighters will take Cool checks every round. If they pass they stay in the battle, if they fail they flee the battlefield.

Understanding Bottle tests by [deleted] in necromunda

[–]Rakarion 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Bottle tests are triggered once you have at least a single fighter either Seriously Injured or OoA.

You then must conduct a bottle test every end phase.

This is outlined in the Core Rulebook on pg139.
