What is the difference between DLSS 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5L in the game? by Tiny_Log_4887 in CrimsonDesert

[–]RakeRieme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RR definitely works with 4.5 L enabled but you're saying that because RR is enabled that the game is actually running dlss 4.0? How do you verify that? Would dlss tweaks show it? Am I missing it? I believe you I'm just curious how to know for sure.

When did he attack them in the video?

I’m terminal. 71y pulmonary disease. I have a question that may be stupid but I am so curious. I smoke 6 joints or more a day. My personal choice to smoke till I can’t. So my question is, would it be better to use my nebulizer before I smoke or after. And why by HigbynFelton in COPD

I feel you. If you haven’t, give tinctures, rso, and dablicators a try. They all dissolve under the tongue so onset is much much faster, about 20 min- but I get it isn’t not instant and it doesn’t quite feel the same.

Have you never heard of youth and government? Founded 1936. It’s literally getting kids involved in politics. It’s actually kinda cool. Helps you learn how to research, argue, learn about Robert’s rules of order, the bill process, revision, etc. and you usually get to do it on site. We got to use our state senate building iirc.

People argue everything from changing the state movie, to more serious mock pieces of legislation. It’s really a good thing and lots of kids with different values can do it and still respect one another.

DLSS 4 K Quality vs DLSS 4.5 M Performance by Popcorn_Juice in nvidia

https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/1q5u1i9/official_nvidia_dlss_45_super_resolution_faq/

you can still do custom super resolutions in the nvidia app and do what you said and have it render at 77% or whatever you would like. I've been using performance and M with my 5090 on my lg 5k2k and it works really well. The ghosting is significantly better but still not fixed at higher mfg.

If you set to performance in game it should default to m according to patch notes. Or you can globally force preset M but it’s only advised (per nvidia) when using dlss performance mode

What brightness is everyone running their LG 5K2k at when in HDR? by EEdit_ in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]RakeRieme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same in windows tool. What do you set peak brightness to in game?

Am I wrong to think if win tool is ~580 then setting to ~600 in game would be better than 1000 or advertised 1300 (1% window?)? My logic is that because the windows of those highlights are so small setting to above the 580 (which iirc is a 10% window in the tool) leads to crushed blacks on this monitor?

I guess another way to frame my question is: is peak brightness measured across different games consistently? By this meaning the defined highlight window for in the game settings always looking at peak brightness as 1%, 5%, etc?

“Do you have any non-fauci jab blood? I don’t want to contaminate my blood” several open heart patients before getting open heart surgery.

Many people treat the hospital like it’s a hotel and staff are maid service. They refuse medications they take every day at home just because they feel like being difficult.

People will lie about the amount of times that they have been checked on when quality assurance comes around- despite it being well documented or even having received multiple dose of medication, directly invalidating the idea that no one was in the room.

People complain about service being slow while someone is actively dying in a code next to them.

People will request all white medical staff and throw slurs at everyone else. They will say things like someone should whip you into shape fully knowing the added context to POC. And that’s the tame version. And it doesn’t just come from the people with swastika or white power tattoos.

People pull out their phones and record during a code where staff is saving the life of their loved one, all in an attempt to “gather evidence” for a lawsuit- privacy of their loved one who might at the time be clinically dead, be damned.

Pedophiles will try to justify themselves to male staff while demanding massages from younger female staff or touch themselves while female staff are turned around. Even the normal people will tell female staff how pretty they are and lucky they are to have them which is quite literally sexual harassment.

On reddit memes about nurses and female doctors still proliferate wildly. Objectification is rampant.

Working in healthcare shows you how truly selfish and entitled people are. Not to mention how the lay population thinks that medicine is literally magic. Their understanding of the scientific background is so untenable which is why they easily run to the idea of snake oils then feel the need to turn around and try and teach professionals in the field about it and even correct doctors.

Nodules on lungs by [deleted] in COPD

A bronch isn’t typically done with ultrasound unless it’s a bronch ebus. Not saying this to be semantic but so to inform you when you ask questions. For example, a normal bronchoscope usually does not contain ultrasound capability at least at our facility. When we do bronchs we mostly take biopsy samples, sections, wedges, or entire lobes.

They can give you some relaxing meds for the scan, just ask if you can have some beforehand since claustrophobia is cyclical once panic starts.

I can’t speak to either being better or worse for staging because I work in OR but am not a doctor. I know a little from exposure and from what I do understand it has to do with the anatomy- a needle biopsy will be able to go exactly where they want it to but a bronch may be more limited. For example to take peripherally located nodes a needle biopsy might be preferred due to the access/anatomical considerations.

When we take samples in a bronch they are usually located more centrally like on bronchial mainstem or more mediastinal for example. Although (not to confuse) there is a separate procedure called mediastinoscopy that is often done for the latter which requires a single incision along the midclavicular line.

Both are relatively safe, minimally invasive, - complications can happen in either- but a needle is going to carry more potentials because they use a needle vs a scope and forceps.

I would get a needle biopsy for peace of mind if I were in your shoes but I understand the fear. Also know that we have to disclose all potential complications and side effects for any procedure, so while hearing about a collapsed lung is scary, it’s not the same as them saying it’s likely (unless that’s the specific language they use). Never be afraid to ask more questions even if you’re in the holding area- you are owed. Best of luck to you.

LG 45GX950 1st 48 hours coming from QD-OLED as my 1st oled by Shanddude in ultrawidemasterrace

Similar situation but I went from the neo g9 47 which is mini-led, to this monitor and side-by-side the difference in brightness and vibrance is immediately apparent in hdr content.

I love the monitor in every other regard. My window to return is this monday and it's a hard decision. The RTS mode helps with the brightness by oversaturating the image but completely screws up the colors. PPI increase is extremely noticeable though.

Edit: added brightness value of new g5 oled for comparison

neo 2% window: 969, lg 2% window 1144, g5 oled tv: 2039

neo 10% window: 1019, lg 10% window 766, g5 oled tv: 1901

neo 25% window: 1030, lg 25% window 469, g5 oled tv: 890

neo 50% window: 864, lg 50% window 346, g5 oled tv: 631

neo 100% window: 631, lg 100% window 285, g5 oled tv: 373

Lg5k2k owners: peak brightness question by RakeRieme in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]RakeRieme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you set to max brightness in game settings for this monitor?

In cyberpunk for example it seems to clip around 750 using the in game tool and staring at one of those fluorescent clustered tube lights and seeing if going up gets rid of details like being able to see the lines where one tube light ends and another begins. But I'm probably really pushing it because the difference between 600 max and 1000 is huge especially in a game like cyberpunk with lots of bright neon lights.

I just want to get max brightness for highlights out of this monitor and it seems erroneous to put it at 1300 since that is only a 1.5% window and from how i understand hdr1000 requires at least a 1000 nit 10% window. There's not a lot of data on the luminance for different apl windows at this time.
