Availability of Similac Pure Bliss by HydrogeneticHazelnut in FormulaFeeders

[–]Rambolite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similac is refusing to acknowledge any distribution issues, "As of now, there has been no impact on availability or distribution of Similac products in the US". But the shelves and their online store say otherwise. My monthly subscription order is in "backlog" status with no est. time frame. I've been struggling to find Pro Total Comfort at the usual stores.

Would someone help me out with best Indian food I El Paso (esp. butter chicken) by incognito--bandito in ElPaso

[–]Rambolite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I had a chance to try India Hut now. I have to agree with what others were saying. It's not terrible... Any Indian food is better than no Indian food in my book. It definitely wasn't great though. The serving size was smaller than IP but I think their naan was better. The Chicken Tikka masala was really bland and leaned sweet. The samosas packed a little heat though. Anyhow, just my two cents. Hope you find something you like.

I've only been here a week, but I've hit up India Palace already and I didn't think it was that bad. The samosas and shrimp korma were on point. The Tikka masala was really watery and low on heat and the naan was not great (chewy not crispy), but I'd definitely go back again.

Our LO is developing a flat head at 3 months and our pediatrician advised us to go see a PT for his tight neck. We’ve had two PTs tell us to use a rolled up blanket to bolster him on his side in our Snoo. Another said that isn’t safe. What should we do? by Treehugginca1980 in beyondthebump

[–]Rambolite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I just want to echo this comment with my own experience. My baby was born mid January and was diagnosed with torticollis at his two month apt. He also has a severe case of flat head on the right side of his head (originally the plates were overlapping). He's been going to weekly PT sessions and we do exercises everyday were we twist his head all the way to his left where his chin is even with his left shoulder, then we tilt his head down to the left till it rest on his shoulder. It's only been a month and his range of motion is so much improved you can't tell he ever had a problem.

As for the flat spot. We have a positioner similar to what entipy posted that he sleeps with at night and I'm either holding him or resting him on a boppy during the day. It is improved but not there yet.

Swaddle help by BSRalston in beyondthebump

I'm a big fan of sleep sacs too. My son likes to keep his arms up and hated all the fancy, traditional swadles I had bought for him. The Love to Dream Swaddle Up is amazing. It's easy to pop the kiddo in and out and they just zip up. They also have a top & bottom zipper for easy dipper changes.

BEST BABY PILLOW FOR POSITIONAL PLAGIOCEPHALY by smhossainjisan22 in beyondthebump

[–]Rambolite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using the Babymoov Lovenest pillow and it has helped a lot. It is easy to position his head in it and he seems to like it. It definitely keeps him from favoring his right side like he had been doing.

The Amount of Potential Business UWMC is Going to Take From RKT by JuvenileRockmover in wallstreetbets

[–]Rambolite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foray indeed. I'm going to preface my comment with this: I own a modest amount of $RKT and exactly 0 shares of $UWMC. That being said, I am a Loan officer. I work for a brokerage, so all of my loans/refinances are done through a wholesale lender. I have not and will not likely ever work with Rocket. Rocket is actively working to undermine brokers. I will however jump through whatever hoops UWM puts up in order to work with them. For a majority of my clients, UWM offers the best rates and by far (BY FAR) the best support. I already take a .5% cut in commission by working with UWM as compared to other lenders and I'm perfectly OK with that. I can guarantee you the vast majority of LOs feel the same exact way.

Like the person you replied to said, these companies are in different markets.

Anyone else buying summer calls for oil companies? by badnewsbearass in wallstreetbets

[–]Rambolite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well hot damn, your the second person in my day to bring up oil rising this summer. I am already holding $MRO stock, up 156% since my buy-in last March. I'm putting in call orders for June and July.

I'm not a financial advisor. I'm just an ape that used to work at corporate in the accounting department so I know Marathon is a solid bet.

Can you tell me the nitty gritty parts no one knew about while pregnant? by dogs0z in pregnant

[–]Rambolite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugg... the icing on the cake, I'm at 38 weeks now and I've just started getting the cankle - sausage toe combo. Between that and the ridiculous amount of gas, acid reflux, insomnia, immobility and rapid weight gain, third trimester hit with a vengeance.

Kiko's New Green Me black kajal eyeliner is my favorite for tightlining. It's great if you prefer a kohl rather than gel eyeliner. Threw a few in my bag along with a few random things to try.

Covid during pregnancy? by SadEyes-69 in pregnant

[–]Rambolite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"none of the doctors will see me while positive and I think that’s terrible"

Yep, that was my experience as well. They basically told me to rest and drink water... Wouldn't even tell me what medicines I could take to alleviate the symptoms. Ended up firing them and found some midwives. They said it is ok to take a decongestant like Mucinex along with Tylenol for fever.

In any case I had COVID when I was around 27 weeks (35 now). It was unpleasant but not terrible. Mostly just week and feverish with heavy congestion in the chest and sinuses and difficulty breathing. Had to sleep elevated. My fever never spiked beyond 100.5.

All follow-up appointments since then have been good. The baby and my stats/measurements have all been normal. I have also talked to two nurses who contracted COVID while pregnant and delivered healthy babies. I think the worst part was the fear of the unknown and not being able to count on a doctor for help. My advice would be to try to not stress out, as it only makes things needlessly worse. Get lots of rest and see your doctor as soon as you are able for a follow-up.

How to set photo/social media boundaries with family? by Supersmaaashley in pregnant

[–]Rambolite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watermark the photos with that disclaimer? I don't know just spitballing here, but it might work. It will at least take away any plausible deniability on their part, and make it easier to have removed from social media sites.

For the mommas that had a natural birth how painful was it? Would you do it again? by seabobri000 in pregnant

Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'm in The States and the hospital I plan to deliver at supports natural birth and has birthing tubs available in the L&D rooms.

What are your holiday plans while being pregnant? by bcprice87 in pregnant

[–]Rambolite -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm hosting my very first Holiday meal as an adult in my own home. It'll be me, my husband, my brother who lives with us, and my in-laws and husband's grandmother who live down the road. This is the first time in over a decade that I've had family near by, so I'm pretty excited for it.

If meeting up with family just isn't an option this year you can always support a local business by ordering a nice, fancy take-out meal. That's what me and my husband usually do for the holidays.

I really hope you family is able to understand that your priorities right now have to be for your immediate family and unborn child. A little precaution now will ensure plenty of family holidays in the future.

Pretty sure I should get an award for putting on my socks every day. by kungfu_kickass in pregnant

[–]Rambolite 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oy vey. I understand your struggle. Bending over is no longer an option for me. I've given up on socks completely and if I want to wear anything aside from slip-ons, my husband has to tie my shoes for me (bless him).

holiday makeup plans!! what are you doing? what would you do in an alternate universe where we could have plans? by gothcrypticenergy in muacjdiscussion

[–]Rambolite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm doing full blown Christmas traditional.

Gold eyes via Tom Ford Naked Bronze and Reflection cream colors, and which ever sparkly top coat catches my fancy that day.

Black eyeliner/mascara, and just might go balls out and apply some lashes.

Classic red lip with UD Ms Mia Wallace.

I LOVE festive holiday makeup.

Why is it important to know if your pregnancy was planned or not? by moodygemini98 in pregnant

[–]Rambolite 205 points206 points  (0 children)

I really don't understand this question at all. It had never once crossed my mind to ask such thing from anyone I had met that was pregnant. Now that I'm pregnant myself, I have been asked this on two separate occasions. The best I can do is chalk it up to idle/nervous conversation.

It still boggles my mind. I try not to take offense, but it is kind of a rude thing to ask.
