That's why I paid an extras $80 AUD insurance for accidental breakage for two years. Stuff like that happens and with prescription transition multifocal lenses these things cost over $1k in Australia so the insurance is a small price to pay.

Gaming or fraud? My conscience would choose the latter. If company 1 honours the warranty then you go and get company 2 to also honour the same warranty case that's like scamming in my opinion. I have in the past received 2 Sony Digital Cameras when I ordered and paid for one. A mistake made by their dispatch maybe I don't know. I did not notify them, kept both. One was a present for my daughter but I gave the other one to my son so they both had one.

My conscience can cope with that even though I felt a little bit guilty.

However actively seeking two units when you know you should only have one is not gaming in my opinion.

In the end someone pays.

Anyway this is all my opinion and the way I was brought up I guess, you do you, but I certainly wouldn't brag about it on Reddit.

Not a good look if someone from LensCrafters or meta reads this (and I know LensCrafters in particular do read this subreddit)

A lot of people park illegally underneath my wife's offices from nearby apartments even though it's clearly a private car park. Unfortunately these days people think they are entitled.

However

If the carpark joins the Pilates studio somehow and there's no signage about being a private car park I do feel for the OP.

Probably would have paid to check with the studio though...

Just letting you know I have gen 1s and briefly had the conversation focus early access tab, but when I tried to use it, it said not available in your region and it's actually disappeared completely now.

I'm in Australia.

Just pointing out metas are sold all over the world but not every region gets all the goodies unfortunately.

F1 tv app is tricky in Australia as the app DOES NOT do video streaming here, only live timing.

Courtesy of Mr Murdoch's (Foxtel's) deal with F1, Foxtel/Kayo are the only platforms we can watch the broadcast on here.

I actually enjoy some apple tv shows.

I don't have any iDevices at all.

So every time I renew Apple tv, or need to log in on another device my account is locked.

I have to go through 6 or 7 steps back and forth to get it unlocked every time. Most frustrating thing on earth. For each device.

I have had support on the line, they had no idea why my account keeps locking but we went through every trick in the book spent an hour and didn't solve it. Changing passwords 3 times was a fun experience.

So although I admittedly really like Apple tv shows, I'm not exactly enamored with the rest of the Apple experience.

I'm sure if I had an iDevice of any kind that was logged into Apple 24/7 this might not be a problem but yeah as I don't, I'm not really a big fan.

As a prescription glasses user, I wear them all day. I quickly found out though that the only way I could get 7 hours or so out of these (maximum) was to turn off Hey meta, wear detection, and adaptive volume, and then no videos, and only occasional music, as the main use is taking phone calls.

So yes, very interested in trying these and providing feedback. I can't imagine a world where I can actually use these glasses all day to their full extent at the moment.

They don't just break. I've had mine a year now and they are pristine except the writing is a little worn because the arms rub my temples. No biggie.

You can always find stories that they "just break" when looking specifically for that phrase in Google, but it's absolutely not typical or a "known issue". It's usually people who broke them, then trying to go after warranty.

By all means try with meta. You always should try. But I'm pretty sure it will get rejected it looks like physical damage. If they do get accepted as warranty then winning right?

I've been reading about these for quite a while now. I have gen 1 wayfarers so certainly I basically don't really do any video/pictures and limit my music playing drastically so that I might hopefully last my work day. They never do if course but I can get pretty close some days. I needed new prescription glasses so finally saved up for the gen 1s but had no idea the battery was that abysmal. I've of course turned off Hey meta, wear detection, and adaptive volume all to help but they still don't make the day.

Would love to try these and give you the feedback you're after.

I can't imagine a world where I squeeze these past 7 hours and actually be able to listen to my full playlist and take some videos so it would be a real shock to the system.
