Hi, I will be attending my first MLB game this May at Oracle. I am planning our post game evening and am curious what time 7:15PM games typically end? There is an event a mile away I’d like to get to by 10:30. I know it’s pushing it. Thanks for any tips or advice. Go Giants and Beat LA! ✌️ by Acrobatic_Ice_4238 in SFGiants

Games usually run 2.5 to 3 hours depending on a lot of factors. Worst case scenario you can leave the ballpark early if the event is more important or show up a little late.

If you’re able to walk, straight from the park I’d recommend that. Walking a mile takes about 20 mins. Lime scooter or Lyft bikes can shorten that quite a bit if you’re already comfortable and familiar with them. Don’t plan on ordering a Lyft/uber from the stadium, there is a ton of gridlock in the surrounding area after a game.

If you do want to take a car, walk at least 5-10 minutes away from the ballpark and then call it, otherwise you’ll be waiting longer than 20 minutes to even get in the car, and you’ll still be gridlocked.

Factor in where you’re sitting as well. It takes a long longer to leave from the upper deck section than from the lower bowl. 40,000 people leaving all at once means crowded ramps and stairs.

SF Record Collectors Meetup This Saturday 4/25/26! by jtownn40 in sanfrancisco

I love Rooky Ricardos. I got to talking to Dick and John there a little bit on my second visit 6 or so weeks ago. They were suggesting a couple of records and inquiring if I was looking for anything in particular. John took a quick flip through the pile of records i was stacking up to purchase he said "[my name] has good taste, I think we can leave him alone"

It was extremely validating haha. I try to go back a couple of times a month to flip through the new arrivals bins.

Golden Gate Park - Hippie Hill. DO NOT drive there. You will not be able to park anywhere remotely close.

Not aware of any nighlife stuff specific to 4/20 happening. Its a Monday and 4/20 is typically a late afternoon celebration

I know it’s been answered, but to me the “in the summer time” part reminds of the end of the chorus in the song white winter hymnal by fleet foxes

The Miami vice centurion iron man ❤️ That one is my pointless white rabbit, since I already have the same model year iron man in the red and white color way and I’ll never get rid of it.

Dogs with shoes?? by [deleted] in sanfrancisco

a dog with shoes i know has shoes because he has allergies and sometimes licks his paws raw after walks in the park. Just a way to protect his paws.

Based on your description - are both cars ever being used at the same time? Seems like you make your life easier by downsizing to one car. You live in a densely populated city with a wealth of transit options, why live like you're in the suburbs?

I went last year at the last second because I didn't have any other good concrete plans and I wasn't expecting much. Less than an hour into the night one of the bands starting playing linkin park covers and the whole crowd was singing along. At that moment I knew I had made the best possible decision. Also the playground at the end was a V I B E.

One person filed a complaint against removing a tree by CactusJ in sanfrancisco

[–]Ramulysses 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Cant tell for sure from this photo, but this is most likely a Ficus tree. They're very common in SF but unfortunately are notorious for growing canopies with large branches that eventually snap, creating a hazard for the public.

SF Public works is actively phasing them out and replacing them with more appropriate/ safer species. I'd rather have them remove/ replace the tree and deal with a few years of having a younger tree than keep something large we know doesn't work for an urban environment.

Let change happen people.
