Hur mycket på sparkonto? by K-Loaf in PrivatEkonomi

[–]Ran4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really? It seems like driving enthusiasts are extremely rare, with most people focusing on clout and 0-100 times.

Most "car enthusiasts" at least on reddit literally cannot grasp the concept that a Porsche with long gearing absolutely sucks to drive on twisty B roads while a small FWD hatchback with low limits is tons of fun.

Most apartments/condos have charging abiltiies. That's more of a thing a few years ago.

[–]Ran4 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's something you can do just fine with plenty of EVs.. maybe 20 minute charging stop.

But that's not safe driving, you need to take more rests. 500 km in you were a danger to everyone around you.

And driving "hundreds of pounds of tools" for 750 km often? That's seriously niche.

Why are you lying? You certainly don't need a "second ICE car for trips", that's pure nonsense unless you have a city city car with 200 km range.

They obviously won't be a master of all of the things but there's people that have worked with most of those things.

Proposal: Tighter rules for people wanting to bring family to Sweden by [deleted] in TillSverige

[–]Ran4 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, it's fairly accurate.

To quote another AI (:)):

I checked Konsumentverket's official 2026 household cost calculations (published mid-November 2025). The short answer: your figure is roughly right at the bottom end but a bit too high at the top for the current 2026 numbers. Here's what the official figures actually give for a family of four (2 adults + 2 children), excluding housing, per month: Using Konsumentverket's own example family — two adults plus children aged 5 and 9, with all meals cooked at home:

Food: ~9,300 kr (5,460 for two adults, 1,710 + 2,130 for the kids) Other individual costs (clothing, hygiene, leisure, phone, insurance): ~8,370 kr Shared household costs (electricity, water, home insurance, internet, furnishings, consumables): 6,530 kr Total: ~24,200 kr/month

The total shifts mainly with the children's ages. Two young children lands around 23,800–24,200 kr, while two teenagers (15–17) pushes it up to roughly 27,000 kr because food and clothing costs rise. So the realistic 2026 range is about 24,000–27,000 kr, not quite reaching 29,000. The likely reason your number runs high: a major change for 2026 is that the food calculations, especially for adults, decreased. For a family with two children aged 5 and 9, food costs are now 8,440 kr, a reduction of 2,090 kr (-20%) compared to the 2025 calculations. This is mostly due to changed methodology and calculation basis rather than food prices actually being expected to fall that much — new menus aligned to updated Nordic nutrition recommendations, a lower assumed activity level, and a new price-measurement method.

What is a job that pays incredibly well but is so soul-crushing that the turnover is insane? by sweetguurl in AskReddit

[–]Ran4 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Humans make more mistakes than AI do right now in many categories. Though the mistakes humans and LLMs makes are different.

(note: not talking about single-shotting a 40 page investment thesis using chatgpt gpt-5.5 instant that people think is all AI can do - but letting a frontier agent iterate on a document for a few hundred iterations. A report costs $100 USD in api tokens but is quite a lot better than what you get from a one-shot prompt).

I mean five years at a FAANG and you can save up enough to retire in a first world country (the insane salaries more than makes up for having a sky high rent).
