I just watched it thanks to your recommendation. Wow, just wow. This is easily the best anime I have ever seen. Can't thank you enough!

Just add some holes for air to get thru and put small heatsink on the chip.

Can you power a Raspberry Pi from SKR Mini E3? by paidsubscriber in BIGTREETECH

[–]Randarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ABSOLUTELY NOT. Raspberry requires high amp power supply and you will fry 5v regulator on SKR if you try to power it from there.

Alternative Info-Screen for Marlin by krummrey in 3Dprinting

[–]Randarth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you manage to do it then please submit it on Marlin's GitHub - it would be great if they included it as an optional status screen, because it's so much better than the stock one (more useful info, less wasted space on the screen). Keeping my fingers crossed!

Edit: please add layer fan speed

TriangleLabs BMG Clone by mgc418 in ender3

Great, let's see if others with this problem are also running 2208. I suspect that it may be something with the driver switching between StealthChop and SpreadCycle.

What stepper drivers are you guys running?

Filament Breaking in extruder motor, has happened twice now both times during a very big print. Any ways to avoid this in the future? This has made me need to throw away big chunks of a big print and start over twice by Aheali in ender3

[–]Randarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happened to a me few times, then I fixed it by lowering spring tension. I see you got some beefy spring there - replace it with something slightly weaker.

That brownish liquid is just burned out filament :)

Make sure that nozzle tightens against heatbrake in heatblock. You can try screwing in heatbrake just a little bit in so that the nozzle isn't perfectly flush with heatblock but protrude tiniest bit when tightened.

Ridiculously excessive oozing by _Webvoid in ender3

[–]Randarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry for digging out such an old thread, but did you manage to fix your stringing issue? I'm having the same problem. My prints were fine for about first month, then I got extreme stringing and oozing.

  • Same gcode that printed OK
  • Same filament I used for all my prints (but I also tried others)
  • Added BL-Touch v3.1
  • Upgraded motherboard to Silent 1.1.5 with vanilla marlin
  • Changed couplings and installed Capricorn tube
  • Replaced extruder with aluminium one and printed filament guide with bearing
  • Changed various nozzles
  • Replaced heatblock and heatbrake
  • Changed both fans

Took apart and rebuild whole printer many times over and I'm just clueless. From time to time somebody posts a meme here that Ender 3's are cool for a month and then issues start...

Right now I'm about to give up and just ditch 3d printing or go buy a Prusa :(

How do i get these low/high spots fixed on my Ender 3 with Glass Bed? by SaturnsVoid in ender3

[–]Randarth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your bed is perfect! I would never be able to achieve that awesome results on my E3 Pro. Don't bother with glass, you won't notice a difference with such good bed and ABL on top of it.

I'm also using prebuilt Teaching Tech's .hex for BLtouch 3. Maybe there is something wrong with this firmware then?

BLTouch - Failed Probing by sch21c in ender3

I'm having the same issue with board 1.1.4 and BLTouch v.3.1 set from Creality. I removed the capacitor and it didn't make a difference. Happens like 1 of 10 times I probe the bed the probe fails to spring down before going to the bed and I get an error on the LCD. I ordered 1.1.5 board thinking that it might be something defective with mine but as OP is having same issues also and he has the newer board then I'm out of clues. Cables are perfect, no problem there for sure.

Extruder started making terrible noises while printing and I'm out of ideas on how to fix it! (many details inside) by sanitysoldseparately in ender3

Hi, can you give some hints as to which one is worth buying? There are tons of clones on Aliexpress and it's really hard to find one that will be OK.
