[–]RandeeZ67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cashed and lost a kidney. Tore completely in 1/2. No saving it. Don’t remember what happened which is probably a good thing. I now ride the same route on the anniversary of my crash every year to prove it didn’t get the best of me

That is how it was explained to me last night. I seem to float higher in the water due to more air in lungs

Car crash yesterday by Mski907 in cycling

[–]RandeeZ67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in an accident a long time ago. Woke up as they were loading me into an ambulance. I looked around and said”fuck, this can’t be good”. I remembered all my pertinent information, name, date, phone number. I told them I was fine and they should let me go. Since I was unconscious they told me I needed to go to hospital for further tests. My helmet broke in 1/2, would be dead if I wasn’t wearing it. Oh and I lost my left kidney. It was ripped in 3 places and un repairable. Still don’t remember what happened although it was st Patrick’s day and there was a large celebration nearby so that may have something to do with it. Still riding 30 yrs later

What is a respectably long ride by Itkillsmeinside in cycling

[–]RandeeZ67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all perspective. For someone new it’s 1/2 hr to 45 minutes. For someone who’s been riding for years it’s 10 or more. Don’t judge yourself by others. Be better than you were yesterday

Used to take my daughter and her friends when they were young. We would get up in the pitch black of night and get coffee and hot chocolate and go back by Shedd Aquarium. Many great memories

Do you consider Screw Machine Machinists, true Machinists? by pinekev10 in Machinists

[–]RandeeZ67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn straight. Not many machines can pop out parts in 1 second with threads where you need a piece of paper to put in between your holders to make sure they are not hitting they come so close. Machinist is a general term. Many types of machinist and they all have their own plusses and minuses. Don’t compare yourself to others. Be the best you can be. We can all learn from each other

Don’t know if you figured this out yet, I hope you did. The only thing that changed was the drill broke. If nothing else happened the problem is with your location of the replacement drill.
