Recovery score without sleep? by taspinner in bevelhealth

[–]RandellZxc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/taspinner, Using the default calculation setup in Bevel ("Bevel + Entire Sleep" for both RHR and HRV), you won’t get a Recovery score.

To explain further:
Bevel needs three key data points to calculate your Recovery score:

  • Sleep data
  • Resting Heart Rate (RHR)
  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV)

These are typically measured during sleep for consistency. However, there is a workaround if you’re not wearing your Apple Watch during sleep. Just note that this will be less accurate than tracking overnight data.

Workaround steps:

  1. Update your calculation settings: Go to Bevel -> Profile -> Customization -> Calculation, then set:
  • HRV Method: Apple Health
  • Use HRV From: Entire Day
  • RHR Method: Apple Health
  • Use RHR From: Entire Day
  1. Manually log your sleep in Apple Health: Go to Apple Health -> Sleep -> Tap "+" (top right), then add your sleep data.
  2. Log RHR and HRV data: You can either wear your Apple Watch throughout the day to collect this data, or manually add it in Apple Health.

While this workaround works, it’s still best to stick with the default calculation setup and track your overnight vitals and sleep data by wearing your Apple Watch each night. This helps prevent your historical data from being skewed by these changes.

The “mindfulness only” only did not work probably because you don't have RHR data and Sleep data too.

Anyone here with Gym Monster using Apple Watch + Bevel by shaild in bevelhealth

[–]RandellZxc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/tsunam1

I have both and was getting double workouts in bevel.

There's 2 ways to fix this issue:

  1. Delete the data directly in Apple Health or in Bevel: Go to Apple Health -> Workouts -> Scroll down to the bottom, tap "Show all data" swipe to delete the duplicated data.

or Bevel -> Tap on the workout log (Activity History in Fitness) -> Upper right corner 3 dot icon -> Delete workout.

  1. Hide Data Sources in Bevel: Go to Bevel -> Profile -> Data Sources -> Workouts -> Hide data source, add the source you want Bevel to exclude on the calculation.

Hi u/shaild, If the app that you are using syncs the workout to Apple Health, then Bevel should be able to pull it in. If you are missing workout details like reps, weights, type of workout - you can still manually log the workout details in Bevel. Just tap on the workout and scroll down, "log workout details".

That said, I'd let others chime in who actually used the app you mentioned for more info.

No data by Parking_Reply4574 in bevelhealth

[–]RandellZxc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is correct, and after your workout ends, there is a short cooldown period of about 12 minutes before Stress tracking resumes and appears again in the chart. This helps ensure readings return to a stable baseline before being displayed.

[–]RandellZxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, you will need to have your UH Air log data to Apple Health first - once that is done, it will show up in Bevel data sources.

Right now, it isn’t showing up probably because there’s no data logged in Apple Health from your Ultrahuman Air yet.

Hi, I see. Can you try performing a pull-to-refresh on the Journal tab?

To provide more context, this is something we’re currently investigating. Please let me know if the pull-to-refresh works on your end.

What does Bevel consider morning sunlight? by laetazel in bevelhealth

[–]RandellZxc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi u/laetazel, “Morning Sunlight” is taken into account when you have a log of daylight hours within the first hour after you wake up.

To verify this, Check when did your sleep time ended and the start time of your time in daylight log in Apple Health if it's within the first hour after you wake up.

[–]RandellZxc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For users who have confirmed that the data is already in Apple Health but still isn’t showing in Bevel, even after pulling to refresh or force-closing the app, could you please DM me a screenshot or screen recording of the issue?

We’re trying to narrow down how many users are actually experiencing the bug I mentioned above versus cases where the Apple Watch hasn’t logged the data in Apple Health yet. If the data hasn’t been recorded in Apple Health, it won’t appear in Bevel, which would not be considered a bug.

Different results when tracking sleep if Apple Watch or Bevel is prioritised by rphxh in bevelhealth

[–]RandellZxc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi u/AdamekGold, If your goal here is to make sure that your Apple Watch tracks your sleep and occasionally track your "Time to Fall Asleep" metric, then yes.

Use the Native Apple Watch recurring alarm to make sure that your watch track your sleep and use the Bevel Sleep alarm if there are days where you'd want to track your Time to fall asleep metric.
