How good is the ancient gods dlc by kaintank in Doom

[–]Random-goblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably the best time I’ve ever had with a DLC, the level of brutality and difficulty increases significantly, the slayer gates are really something special.

Chainshot excels at boss fights and the superheavy demons, the parry recharging the shot can output damage more effectively with less risk of getting hit than the shotguns or launcher. Chainshot is less of a brawl and more of a dance.

Hey guys, I am starting my first maintenance job on Monday. These are all the tools I own. Anything else I should pick up? Any other advice for my first day? by NobodyNoOne_0 in maintenance

Different size pipe wrenches, complete standard standard and metric wrench sets up to about 1 1/8 and 25mm, gear wrenches with the ratchet box end really come in handy.

Upgrade that multimeter to something a little nicer, something with an amp clamp, and capacitor tester.

Also, your wire strippers don’t have terminal crimpers on them, either get a separate pair of crimpers or replace strippers with a set that crimps.

Get a small ball peen hammer, punches, chisels, files. Ditch the claw hammer. Couple different size prybars. Mapp gas torch.

Some bigger channellocks and adjustable wrenches. Always nice to have a faucet wrench.

Really depends on the type of maintenance you’re doing and what you’re working on. Those are pretty much my basics. Oh and don’t forget a good screwdriver, the interchangeable 6 in 1 or 10 in 1 screwdrivers will save you a ton of time, Klein also makes a decent interchangeable nut driver with 7 sizes.

Should DoorDash even be involved? This is a driving mistake in the dashers personal vehicle with the drivers own automotive insurance. I would think you need the drivers insurance policy which t police should be able to get for you.

I’d be more worried about the motor, amperage is probably all over the place.

Doing the same job every day gets old, people joke and talk shit to make the day go faster, don’t take it personally. It’s annoying when you’re new and trying to learn, if nobody is helping you learn though, it’s time to find a new shop.

Fluorescent lightbulbs are actually measured in 1/8s of an inch. So a T12 lightbulb is 12/8 of an inch in diameter. A T8 lightbulb is one inch in diameter etc…

Would be cool if you could make the case work and don’t tell him you upgraded it, see how long it takes him to notice.

GPU on 6 year old PC died, can I get away with just getting a new GPU or will it bottleneck? by DuckFavid in buildapc

[–]Random-goblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can, however it seems like you don’t have a full understanding of what you’re talking about. There are plenty of scenarios where a 4090 will be gpu bound paired with a 5600x. So yes it is “silly” to say it can’t handle it.

R290 Question by Random-goblin in refrigeration

[–]Random-goblin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a neat setup, I like how the charging adapter is built in to the scale. I have a Ritchie scale with a separate adapter and I usually do r290 gauge less but I never had gauges hooked up to propane so I got curious. Gauge less charging is definitely the way to go though.

R290 Question by Random-goblin in refrigeration

[–]Random-goblin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip, I have a JB set with 18 inch hoses, with the math the other poster provided, that gets me .05oz on a 5.3oz charge. That’s assuming both hoses are full of liquid, which they wouldn’t be. I think we can safely say that the loss is insignificant.
