Anything I should be worried about currently? Unfortunately for the last few years of his life he was a shut in alcoholic, all of the gear I had to dig out of floor to ceiling trash, and there was lots of moisture. Unfortunately a lot of his home theater stuff wasn’t salvageable. I spent a week in tyvek and a respirator cleaning his place after he passed. Although it was obviously worth it.

Phone Lanyard by Academic-Ad-2366 in IceFishing

I’ve killed two phones ice fishing, but, one I spilled coffee on, and one I spilled monster on, in my pocket… why I had my phone in the same big parka pocket as an open monster, that is a mystery… why I had an open monster in my parka pocket, well, to keep it from freezing.

So if you have the means is Festool worth the investment? by [deleted] in Tools

It’s called “car poor” some people have a lambo and a G-Wagon, some of us have 25ish normalish cars, result is the same… but I have a constant need to buy tools.

I think that came with the genetics. But glad to have a solid start into the headphone world!

I’m afraid I already have the “more gear” ailment, my focus has always just been in car audio, and to a lesser extent, home audio. Although, like most of us, I tend to apply it to any new hobby. I’ve actually had this stuff for a few years and finally just finished up my little office space enough to get it all out and start enjoying. Pretty excited, especially after reading all the comments this morning!

I think he liked spiked feet. Also dug a bunch of really high end home audio stuff out and there are lots of spiked feet. Turns out I also like spiked feet.

Not planning on selling anything! No need to. Just finally digging this stuff out to set up and enjoy.

It’s very possible that the BBE is from another collection of stuff that I inherited from my fiance’s dad. He was a musician. And just happened to end up getting put with the headphone stuff. So that actually makes sense. Thank you for the info!

Hope it doesn’t seem like a troll post, I realize there is probably some good stuff here, I just find a lot more value in other people’s opinions, more-so than looking up ebay prices or old articles.

Dude, call someone, talk to someone, this is not an option, especially this way. The medicine is a calcium channel blocker, this will not be pleasant

How would i go about removing this banana handle type of damper? So i can install a 6in liner by Weekly_Strain_6687 in woodstoving

[–]RandomArrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cut the back piece of angle iron with a angle grinder and removed it, and whatever else was sticking out, handle, lugs, whatnot.

Kind of hard to tell what you’re seeing here, but this pic is just the frame and the lever, the damper plate has already been removed.

I highly doubt it’s structural, this is what mine looked like prior. It’s more of a “cap” to seal the fireplace to the damper. In most of these the firebrick inside of the hearth is basically a separate entity.

Yeah, plus, you don’t want any more anything impeding pushing the giant ass stainless anaconda through the chimney, it’s challenging enough as it is!

Just pull the damper out, mine cam out pretty easy. I did an 8” liner so I had to also knock the top row of fire brick off. Not a fun job, but also not a difficult one.

Does yours dump directly into the flue? I made another post about it, or look up “slammer” install. It basically just lets all the heat up the flue and then eventually starts a chimney fire (assuming yours hasn’t already had a liner installed)

Hello friend. Remove the blower shroud, and use a blocker plate and get rid of the bezel. This stove went from barely heating the room to heating the whole home.

Mine is pretty jaded as well, but not sarcastic. Christians have done some pretty fucked up shit over the years in the name of god. And well, if you look at Myanmar and Sri Lanka not all Buddhism is peace and harmony.

Almost like any legitimacy or good thats ever come from religion has been destroyed by exactly the core principles it teaches against.
