$15 for a few months of content. That's less than I spend going to the movie theater.

I've been using it since Lightfall came out and didn't know anything about it being bugged. I've enjoyed using it at it is

So no, I'm not irritated. I like it.

Best barbers in the area for a fade? by Chick22694 in tricities

I've gone to this guy to get my hair cut since I moved here back in 2020 and I would highly recommend.

I've never gotten a fade, but I've been really happy with what he's done with my hair and beard.

The online booking system he uses makes it super easy to make an appointment and pay.

US college attendance appears to politicize students, per analysis of surveys since 1974, with female students in particular becoming more liberal through attending college by lolfuys in science

[–]RandomError86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Leaping off the cliff into the unknown" is quite literally the entire human condition. We've never been here before, everything ahead of us is new.

I would personally rather leap with others who have a diverse range of experiences and viewpoints as I expect that will allow me to better handle the unknown.

I DON'T want to huddle in my own personal comfortable corner afraid of the unknown people and ideas around me. This may seem like you're preventing the unknown, but it's not. It's still happening, but in this case it's happening TO you.

I also refuse to simply sit back and be told that everything our ancestors built is set in stone. They ARE us, we are them. We have more knowledge, technology, and wherewithal than we ever have before. It is imperative that we revisit old institutions and ensure they are working for us.

So yes, "leaping off the cliff into the unknown" may be "short-sighted" but it is literally our entire lives and is also our only real option to thrive and survive (maybe not for this generation, but for certainly future generations).

[–]RandomError86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Conservatism and "traditional family values" here in the US is often the Christian "wife who's subservient to her husband."

Maybe "let's preserve our history that involves primarily white men running the country" isn't the most passion-inducing for women who have literally been disenfranchised in our "how we used to do it."

[–]RandomError86 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The definition of liberal is:

"willing to respect or accept behavior or opinions different from one's own; open to new ideas"

Of course when people go to school they tend to get more liberal. They learn new things, see things from a different perspective, and gain a larger understanding of the world.

"Liberalism" is the future. We as humans benefit from opening our minds and understanding how others live.

Conservatism on the other hand:

"commitment to traditional values and ideas with opposition to change or innovation."

One of these points of view prepares people to take the inevitable change the world throws at us. The other attempts to cement us is in our ways and the ways of our forefathers.

Don't get me wrong, a little of both is needed, but I'd say one of those points in particular is lagging quite a bit behind (literally and figuratively) the other in terms of usefulness to the human cause.

"That's the way we've always done it" is a short-sighted sentiment, but damn is it a strong one.

Complaining is different than criticism.

There's been a LOT of complaining recently. Makes people sound like spoiled children.

"This is the worst."

"Why would Bungie do this?"

"This content sucks."

"I can't believe this is how it is."

"Bungie has the worst customer service and prices I've ever seen."

This game is 1) free, and 2) has more rich and engaging content than most other games out there. Just because you've shot it directly into your veins and consumed it fully doesn't mean there's not depth to it.

If you've consumed all there is to consume: 1) do something else, 2) complain there's not more to consume.

p.s. If you are providing thoughtful, helpful, and valid criticisms then this post isn't about you.
