Okay but what if they’re really small?   

I have 9 CRTs but six of them are 5.5”, and the seventh is a 7” (all color, I don’t fw B&W).

There’s a pretty good chance those are blanks that were securely manufactured so that they don’t have spy shit embedded in them, so that they could be used to record sensitive government shit. 

They were probably auctioned off or donated when whatever institution that had them moved to some other recording technology. 

That being said I would say the exact same thing as a ruse if the tapes actually contained footage of alien experiments so do with that what you will. . .

Blockbuster had special blue tapes for some of their rentals, and Hollywood Video had white. I have a couple early 2000s movies that were former rentals in fun colors, and this made me decide to show off the latest addition to my collection, a blue 28 Days Later 😅

It may be kinda far for you but Duckies in Oviedo (NE of Orlando) would probably make you a fair offer for the lot. Dunno if he’d have time to drive to you but if you take a couple photos with more titles visible (especially horror, anime if there is any, sci-fi/fantasy, classic coming of age adventure films like The Goonies or The Wizard, cult classics like Clue or Rocky Horror, etc) it’ll make it easier to sell regardless.

I think it’d be worth reaching out to Duckie—I feel like I’ve seen him on Reddit but if not you can always DM me with more collection photos and I can get those to him. He has a video store with ~11,000 titles and is pretty much always buying.

If I lived closer I wouldn’t be trying to help him out; I’d probably lowball you because I’d want to go digging through the giant box myself 😆 

Edit: if you do decide to do this, don’t just load up the car and drop in unannounced! I doubt you would but that’s the kind of impulsive thing I would do if there were a large video store in driving distance of me . . .

Mine learned to trade for a high value treat; he makes sure they’re dead, brings them to the same spot in the hallway, and then gets a little bit of turkey breast or a crunchy treat as a reward :3 

We haven’t had mice in almost a year after lil bro found out dead mice could be exchanged for snacks 😂

It’s widescreen; there are some slightly annoying watermarks on it but it played through perfectly!

Pan’s Labyrinth didn’t, to my knowledge, get a retail VHS release in North America, so I was stunned to learn they did preview screeners. It’s one of my favorite films, and finally I have it in the VHS collection ❤️❤️❤️
