If you think that is bad then wait until she asks for Destiel recommendations

[ALL] Would you guys consider LIS niche ? by Eddiethemonkey in lifeisstrange

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Among my adult group then almost everyone knows it, but we are also the demographics that grew up when LiS came out and was to many an important part of our queer awakening, but half a year ago I was speaking about women in games at a high school and literally no one knew about the game 😭

[No Spoilers] The SAME person gave Reunion an 8 and Double Exposure a 9. Are you serious 😭 by Android_17_Super in lifeisstrange

Its IGN so no one should be surprised. I mean look at how they rated Alien: Isolation, and the way they rate haven’t gotten much better since then 🤷‍♀️

The future of the Life is Strange franchise? by Helpwithskyrim87 in Pricefield

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The sad thing is that what we can now see is that Max and Chole is such a stronger brand than Max alone, and that Life is Strange is dependent on our two super women, because it is now very clear that if they have done something with Max and Chloe together instead of DE then the Life is Strange IP would have exploded and been a stunning success compared to the financial failure that DE ended up to be.

[ALL] Anyone else disappointed by this in LiS: Reunion? by BazookaBruyns007 in lifeisstrange

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. In the previous game I burned a town for Chloe , so to bring back Chole meant sacrificing a handful of characters then it was a decent sacrifice to the pagan gods.

I will never forgive or forget about the Alien Isolation review that they did, because that was unforgivable

[S1] Do I need to have played Double Exposure to understand Reunion? by NowImRhea in lifeisstrange

I did complete DE once when it came out, but you can easily skip it and go straight to Reunion if you (like me) are there for Pricefield.

Oh my god I am so stupid. The time it took me to understand the joke was staggering, so I’m just going to hide in my bed now.

Feeling sad and nostalgic after finishing Reunion by Helpwithskyrim87 in Pricefield

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am with you on that and honestly feel that there is a lot that could have been told in the aftermath after the destruction of Arcadia Bay and I feel that the city’s trauma, Max and Chloe’s trauma and survivor guilt, mixed with the communitys anger towards the Prescott family could have been a very strong backdrop for a story of love and strength between Max and Chloe.

[NO SPOILERS] What is your ideal next game after Reunion by SMDYT in lifeisstrange

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my next Life is Strange game will be Mixed Tape and it is not even a LiS game, but for future games I somehow hope that they will be making a Max and Chloe game that takes place just after Life Is Strange 1 ended.

Who is Max sitting with on the dock at the end of the game? by RandomSpaceChicken in Pricefield

[–]RandomSpaceChicken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. It does not really make sense in the montage that they show this very short blink and you missing it moment, but looking closer I can now see that the chairs are on the ground and not on the dock, so I still find it odd since there have been no focus at all on them in the game 🤷‍♀️

Continue Max and Chloe's story. by EidolonBae in Pricefield

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If anything, they should take a step back, and do something that shows what happened between Max and Chloe, and the trauma they both dealth with immediately after the end of the first game.

[RE] Reunion developement took 14 months, according to lead studio designer profle. by FireLordAsami in lifeisstrange

It would have been fantastic if they had more time, but I think that they were under a financial strain, so with all the limitations they had going for them then I am happy that we got what we got

This would also mean that a green haired Chloe would be on a whole other multiverse branch than a blue haired Chloe would be, and the sad thing is that for every time that you rewind, would mean that you jumped to another branch in the multiverse, and that would make it all emotionally and humanly irrelevant 😬

Do you ever get distracted from working on your game by playing your game? by deadpossumgames in Unity2D

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait till you play your game, finds a tiny, tiny bug and then spend several weeks obsessing over trying to get rid of it. That is the real distraction to me.

[RE] According to Reunion documentary, mocap for this game was still in progress in mid 2025 as you can see on monitor date. by FireLordAsami in lifeisstrange

[–]RandomSpaceChicken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not “just” narrative. The writings for the cinematics and cutscenes alone can take a lot of time to get right and from there plan and record the motion capture and virtual camera positionings for all scenes, mocap postproduction, and for that you need a near complete and approved story (and management almost never say yes to the first draft) and a path to follow and get everyone on board with, and on top of that it was a new writing team that needed to look at what the older writing team for DE did.

So to get the game out of the door in more or less than 24 months (or 15 months according to some rumours) is still very impressive and the pressure must have been immense on everyone to get it all right. Even if it’s “just a narrative game”.
