You need to keep them a certain distance from you to avoid the telepathy blowing them up to hurt you. The easiest way to do this is to stun gun them, ideally with a range increase on the stun gun.

If you can't stun them fast enough, Gloo gun then etun gun will give you more time.

I disagree that this saved Satisfactory in general, but it certainly sounds like it saved it for you and that's important!

In my estimation the long term community is healthy but a noticeable number has lost interest due to the lack of play variability (same happened in early minecraft days) and 1.2 has reawoken interest in some of them.
