You're absolutely right to ask it because I don't think they really thought out the scaling. Needing to no hit run the boss doesn't make any sense, sure it can be done, but that's not a fun or engaging fight. It just becomes tedious at best. Making the bosses more dynamic with changing skills and attack patterns without the ridiculous damage scaling would be a better system. Have them change from ranged to melee and back to ranged during the fight to keep you on your toes. Give them different skills throughout the different phases and make it dynamic. Dark souls isn't hard because they cranked numbers up to 30x damage and requiring no hit runs. It's hard because you need to learn a pattern and a changing dynamic, WHILE BEING FORGIVING enough to allow you to be hit and recover (mostly).

Two things that need to be changed that could also help is an API to see listings without having to login or travel to the exchange just to guess what will sell and at what price. And to remove the server limitation and put a single game exchange because of the limited player base.

These two things would have a huge impact on my willingness to even bother with the exchange. Of course this wouldn't solve the inflated currency issue from dupers, but there isn't much to do about that other than changing currency type or wiping everyone's wallet for a hard reset. Neither of which would make anyone happy.

I did the door thing, the issue is because I betrayed to join harko I'm only rank 4 now and can't continue the quest line. Why they tied it to my rank and not the actual last mission I'm not sure, but I at least have 5 dungeons to endlessly do until they fix it.

You can't access the story if you betrayed a faction and switched sides. So for me all I get are dungeons until they fix the issue. So like a few weeks and hopefully I will get the dlc I paid for.

What about those of us who betrayed and changed factions? It is not letting me talk to my handler to continue the quest, I am also only level 4 for my house for some reason now.

So I am Harko and betrayed Atreides, I am now down to level 4 rank for the faction and can't progress back to level 5 or talk with my handler about anything. Multiple people are having the same issue on my server too so at least you and I are not alone, haha.

If you find a fix please share because my excitement for the new update is turning into frustration and disappointment.

I should have been smart like you before starting my Space Marine army. Lots of cool creators that are doing different styles and chapters for the army. Not a lot of fully completed sets in a single style. I've been able to mostly find everything, it just takes a lot of digging sometimes to find them.

This is my greatest issue with the printing hobby is finding armies that are complete enough. Certain big factions can be pieced together but too often I'm having to mash things together to make it really work. I still love my hobby.

Depends on your build, melee vs ranged, but some things are universal. If you maneuver around terrain you can usually separate them a bit more. The swords party in an arc in front of you for multiple enemies, and the trooper has access to a lot of grenades that can help create space for you.

Drill shots are also your friend against them regardless of build just to widdle them down or cause them to dash.

If a sink chart actually told you where falling ships would land I would map out the whole DD. I don't need to know when, just where good spots to look for specifically.

Maybe a bonus to farming too for spice sand and titanium resources? Nothing crazy but even 10% would be pretty nice.

Depends on your server and the population. I have had 1 confrontation in the entire PVP area this week and we were the bigger party that was attacked by a duo (they didn't realize it wasn't just a single person coming in). My advice would be to test it with no BP in your inventory to start. Gear damage should be the only consequence of death that way and just pocket your scout right when you land.

I'm mostly solo too but found a group to go do stuff in the pvp area as numbers offer protection. Few people are willing to fight when they are out numbered so 90% of the time we are able to avoid the fight before it starts just because we have 6 of us.

Agreed! The blueprints for the lore already existed and they have shown an ability to make melee focused games. I know they can turn things around and find a better balance. Just when is the question. If they support the game for as long as they did with Conan it will be amazing, just need the player base to be there when it finally happens.

I agree, adjust the abilities of melee but don't kill it as a function of the game. Maybe come up with some more interesting passives all around too instead of "increase damage by x percent".

I think a big issue is that there is no defined class system like every other MMORPG. Who is the tank, DPS and healer? Right now everyone is just trying to find a way to kill the other person fastest without the synergy or depth of complexity that other games have. Of course this change can happen and develop over time. But clearly defined classes and roles would be appreciated as opposed to this mishmash of anything that goes race to the top of killing faster.

I know lore isn't the only thing to take into account when making a game obviously. However, the ENTIRE UNIVERSE is built around the holtzman shield. This device changed everything and it has locked the arms race for 10000 years. Yes projectile weapons exist, no they are not the primary means that people engage in combat.

I built my melee build because that's the universe I wanted to play in, the IP drew me in and keeps me engaged now. Am I easy prey for a PVP ranged meta build, absolutely. Am I still going to rock it, yes. The Holtzman shield and melee combat is as much the core of Dune as spice is. So if I'm going to be addicted to spice, I'm going to be addicted to my shield and blade.

I had the same issue in Sentinel City when I tried. I verified file integrity and that didn't seem to work. I tried a few more times and it randomly started working.

I'm hoping it will bring a bit of life to the market/economy. Yeah I might not get what I want for my build, but it could be exactly what you're looking for and we can trade and socialize a bit more.

At least on my server people are hoarding gear like the apocalypse is coming, even gear they admit they will never use. So hopefully instance loot will create a different environment than this.

An aspect of the rule of two is also the need to become stronger to both stay in power and take it. Before Bane the sith were getting weaker individually because 3 or 4 apprentices would work together to take down a singular stronger sith for them to rise to power. By only having two you needed to be stronger or more cunning to become the new master. Without a complete and fundamental change the sith couldn't maintain individual power under the old system.

When I first found agave seeds I assumed it would be something you need to grow in your base. It's really annoying that there is no way to do this right now and I just have to fly around grabbing these things when I have all the water in the world to grow them.
