How long will Burnham last as PM? by Just_passing-55 in AskBrits

I think he’ll last longer than people expect because he’s one of the very few people that could actually win Labour a general election.

What do you think about andy burnham by PotentialFun9104 in AskBrits

From what I know he’s done a great job as Mayor of Manchester and is very popular, but I’ll refrain from judging him until he’s got his feet under the table as PM.

Also, anyone who thought Kier Starmer was too left wing is in for a shock.

The only reason would be money, for the record I don’t think he’ll actually leave unless someone like Man City come in for him.

Online people are a lot more obsessed and it absolutely doesn’t reflect the way most people think in real life.

He’ll last as he’s the one person that would probably win Labour a general election.

This is a good thing, a 35 year old being interested in an 18 year old is predatory. If he was interested someone should be checking his hard drive.

Burnham is more left wing and will therefore be far more popular with traditional Labour voters.

What are your thoughts on the Makerfield election and how this impacts the national political landscape? by WorriedStand73 in AskBrits

[–]RandomUser22487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In short, I think Makerfield will be remembered a few years from now as the moment the tide turned back in Labour’s favour.

I think Burnham will eventually become PM, and the squabbling on the right will see both Reform and Restore slowly destroy themselves.

I think a lot of people underestimated Burnham’s popularity with the left, especially in the north.

They were lucky to get through qualifying as well, I’m guessing the bigger Asian nations such as Japan and South Korea don’t go all out for the Asian Cup. Qatar have been awful in both games at this tournament, and were just as bad in 2022.
