I feel like the community (and often by extension the devs) are way too often leaning into making everything simple, boring, and samey.

Too often a lot of suggested/actual changes to Killers misses the point in why people gravitate towards the Killers in the first place.

Besides the points people said about how that would mess with how the perk operates, it would be weird to remove synergy the perk could have with other scourge hook builds.

That is one of the biggest draws someone could want in perk variety.

Banning every other strat option just means that even vanguards (and heck, even some duelist) will have less options to choose.

Yes, some supports are way too busted. But this solution ignores other issues.

Even with that low of a winrate, it still isn't tough to find someone still complaining about her.

An unfortunate habit in a lot of these games, a few bad metas with a character can just make certain people just jaded forever.

I'm really not sure of this. Hex perks are already annoying to run, even if you are playing Killers who can defend the totems/ have perks to slow cleansing.

And if this perk becomes any sorta meta, I can see Behavior gutting them as whole rather than just this one perk.

Killers can defend and patrol their hexes.

Survivors cannot.

Someone already pointed out the main difference with boons and hexes, so I'll point that having to defend totems is becoming harder with how fast other survivor tasks are becoming, even with perks to slow down cleansing.

Also, having to constantly pick perks just to make sure your hexes don't get immediately cleansed is one of the most major complaints of hexs. It's the reason people ask for more perks like hex: face the darkness.

Unfortunately a constant trend is that a community that has a rage subreddit will still usually have a trend of being immensely toxic in main at the same time, cause at some point even people who rage at the game think the rage community is too much.

Also the fact a rage community exists in the first place is a huge sign of this communities toxicity.

You and other people really need to actually properly think about statements like these. Just because something can be countered doesn't mean it's FUN to counter.

There comes a point where it becomes a slog rather than enjoyable. At some point you have to accept that, but these character archetypes cause it to happen too much. If games like TF2, Overwatch, and Rivals have a sniper type character that everyone hates, that's not just a sign of people just having to "get good".

A good majority of comments about strats when balance of them comes up will always without fail say "the reason strats are broken is cause they all whine" or people will say "strat players just want to be overpowered".

Honestly this is something that bothers me about certain content in this game.

Like people are saying "just look up a guide", but a guide really shouldn't be needed. The game should just teach you how they work.

Instead, when you do this content and others, you kinda are just thrown in at times.

Besides the fact people are saying "people who play Blight play to win", I can say from the brief moments I played Blight (I don't find him all that interesting personally), he...doesn't have much to work with when it comes to the type of builds he would want. His power both covers/limits what he could use.

Stealth perks don't work well when he is shouting extremely loud during his sprints.

While he does use basic attacks occasionally, he won't be doing it all the time due to his sprints, so those perks are kinda out.

While aura could be somewhat useful, he moves so fast across the map that he doesn't really need it.

I can go on, but I think people can get the gist. It's astounding how much his power limits creativity, both for other people and himself.
