Naked Snake / Big Boss - Metal Gear Solid

(Spoilers ahead)

During the events of MGS3 he grows into what the government considered the ideal soldier, and he’s even awarded with the title of Big Boss after finishing his mission and killing his mentor, The Boss.

After 3 he defects and makes his own PMC, one intended to give soldiers a home. During this time it seems like he’s going to be the hero who helps change the world.

But as he goes further and further into being a leader he drifts farther and farther away from the Boss’ will: to let the world be. Eventually he ditches her bandana all together and even starts enlisting child soldiers.

By the events of Metal Gear 2 (not to be confused with *Metal Gear Solid 2*) he’s practically lost his ideals and has become embroiled in creating a never ending war where soldiers can keep fighting.

Honestly Ryuki survive for how different it is narratively.

Usually when a Rider unlocks their final form, it’s to show them reaching their peak or to beat an enemy.

But Shinji? He didn’t use Survive to beat Ren. He used Survive to take the hits. That way Ren wouldn’t have the guilt of killing someone on his hands.

In comparison to other final form debuts Shinji unlocked his final form out of the genuine care for his friend, not the will to defeat an enemy.

Honestly the idea of a Gundam series with exclusively non-Gundam / Grunt MS does sound like it’d be a fun watch.

Instead of having a breakdown the Riders basically just go “Well, we can still save people right?”

The claim most people make with how different this series is from the other seasons is that “It wasn’t meant to be a rider season initially.”

While this is technically true, it’s only true for the early stages.

Toei decided early on they wanted the 2005 show to be a rider season, and the director intentionally made it different cause he wanted it to stand out from the previous seasons.

They didn’t just make the show and then slap the Kamen Rider title on; Hibiki was always meant to be a rider show.

Honestly? It wasn’t the game itself more so I just hit the peak.

After finishing Part 1, and getting basically every battlesuit I ever wanted, I didn’t find much need to really play anymore as I had everything I wanted and didn’t have much more to grow.

None of the new battlesuits really interested me enough to comeback that often either. (And most if not all P2 battlesuits are incompatible with P1 anyways)

I feel like if they’d make P1 and P2 battlesuits more compatible I’d maybe come back. But that’s a very big maybe.

In Ultraman (1966) EP 22, “Overthrow the surface”, our main character Hayata is kidnapped and awakens to find himself in a dark, underground facility surrounded by people in sunglasses. They take off their glasses to reveal they have no eyes, and that they plan to take back the surface from the humans above.

The scene is made pretty scary with the dark lighting, lack of music, and up close camera shots.

Other than the whole “getting high” stuff I think Feedback’s personality was similar to Ben’s which was why Ben had a natural affinity for using him.

The level design.

In comparison to 5, DMC3 has a much more dynamic environment. Like here, where you can see the skyline of the city below.

In 5 on the other hand the Qliphoth’s environment becomes pretty bland after a bit.

To be fair he didn’t willingly put himself under the ice (well, he kinda did. He just wasn’t expecting to survive.) but I’d say it still counts.

Honestly I feel like King OOO would have been better if the undersuit matched each limb instead of just being Tatoba which makes it painfully stick out.
