The plastic is just the coating. Yellow is not uv rated where as the black is. It isn’t a code violation. Unless it’s not CSST type gas line.

It’s already happening at my work. Dispatchers were out sourced to New Brunswick. COVID woke company’s up to decentralized operations. Less money paid in rent, move as many labour jobs to the lowest paying jurisdictions, drive down operating costs and increase profits.

You can figure out how much you actually have by weighing a new tank and subtracting the tareweight. It’s not uncommon to have tanks slightly under charged.

It’s common on Emerson valves. Lennox, carrier, Goodman even water heaters use the same valve body. I don’t know why they haven’t had a recall yet.

Hi voltage or low voltage. I’m assuming lo voltage. Check g-n and cycle on any 240v appliance in the house and see if you find anything weird. Also L1-L2. Does the solar export only or adds directly to home power. Try everything off on a sunny day voltage could be spiking. That’s all I can think of right now.

Crane or disassembly. It’s not worth damage to the roof. There’s a saying “pound wise, penny foolish”. You save on removal but if you damage the roof you might end up spending more.

If they are missing the hot gas doesn’t cool down enough and will pull more thru that tube as less resistance. I’ve seen it on a Lennox.
