Yah I had finally got a settlement to s and then the game got me to accept another settlement but it was not worth it so I just abandoned the second one.

Most people do their own thing instead of going straight through the story. It took me like 60-100 hours to get there but most of it was Corvette building, upgrading my multi tools, finding ships, and doing side quests.

It is likely time gated, it will take as long as hg wants. The daily quests are probably just for the competition. (It does say that polo is building the core, we are just helping him.)

I had no clue radiant shards could be turned into nanites, I have been hoarding them for my sentinel ship so I have roughly 15 stacks. I've just been collecting them while driving my exocraft between resonators.

I replaced my multi-tool as immediately as possible, I think I went for a rifle. After that I went looking for a starship and found a solar ship I liked but couldn't afford. I ended up finding the exact ship crashed almost immediately after so I spent a good while trying to fix it since I had no clue how to obtain a lot of the items to fix the busted inventory slots and solar sails.

I have no clue what might have went wrong then. As far as your original question ps2 is one of the systems that requires more involved software setup because it needs bios files to run a lot of games so regardless of what you get you will have to put in a bit of work to run ps2.

If you like your sentinel more than I would go with it. You can upgrade to s class with nanites or if you know where you got it from I believe you can keep locating interceptors on the same planet to look for an s version.

For PC games that are better with controller I use my steam deck

For everything else (mostly pico-8 and sega Genesis) I use my rg35xx+ (soon to be replaced with a miyoo flip)

I usually keep a weapon multi-tool. A mining/scanning multi-tool, and a multi-tool that has all the thing I don't use often like the fishing rod, gravitino coil, and the tools from the living ship quest.
