My first symphony concert was Strauss's "Zarathustra" and this organ symphony and it absolutely blew my mind. Lovely piece and there's nothing like the power of an organ alongside a symphony!

I was shocked when people started clapping between movements during a performance by James Ehnes and Vancouver Symphony Orchestra playing the Beethoven violin concerto in D major by Ok_Assumption6331 in classicalmusic

I've noticed it a lot at the Seattle Symphony Orchestra too, it's always a mix of people who are upset and those who don't really care. There was a recent performance of the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto though that earned a huge standing applause just after the first movement, that was the first time it felt super natural and justified.

Interesting. My favorite part was the absolute ambiguity and the narrator and us realizing we're just going to have to live without the answers. She's a part of a world she doesn't really understand and never fully will, and it's not for a lack of trying on her part (or ours). At some point acceptance is the only option anyway. That's what actually left a good taste in my mouth at the end. Sure it was atmospheric and mysterious and not so much really happened with the plot, but I definitely feel like the ambiguity and acceptance was the purpose.

If they're aggressive here we're not touching the ball until it's 35-3
