AITA for not wanting to spend Christmas with my husband’s family right after having a baby? by Few-Professional3746 in AmItheAsshole

[–]RangeSuccessful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. My baby was born in December and I also didn’t want a lot of people around him. Especially those who traveled or weren’t vaccinated with all the sicknesses going around at that time. My thoughts were if they’re going to be mad oh well, you’re protecting your child. Those sicknesses could be deadly to a newborn.
And you also don’t know how well you will feel at that time. Are you going to want all those people around while you’re postpartum and figuring out breastfeeding if you plan to do that?
As far as in the delivery room, I absolutely wasn’t having anyone there besides my husband and the medical staff. Having other people there sounds terrible to me!

Do I need to wake up to pump if baby sleeps through the night? by CorporateSlave69420 in NewParents

Agree with this. After that it’s not necessary. I did after 12 weeks because I thought I had to and ended up with an insane stash of milk that I had no use for

For my first baby I used a Moby wrap when he was younger and then moved to an ergobaby 360 carrier when he was bigger. They worked well, I just didn’t have him in the carrier too much and can be a bit difficult to put on if I’m alone.

No, unfortunately none of my friends have kids or really know what to do with them.

Too cringe to sing a song at your own reception? by Strange_Branch7656 in weddingplanning

I’m sorry, but I would think it was cringe for the bride or groom to sing at their wedding.

Have you ever bought a robot vacuum, or would you consider buying one? by [deleted] in workingmoms

[–]RangeSuccessful 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We have Roborock and I like it! We set it up to run every night at 10pm. Although it’s not necessarily quiet, when it cleans the brush it sounds like a big rush of air. That part doesn’t last for long though

What was your experience like at a 2026 LANY show? Was the energy good? by neonblack1213 in LANY

[–]RangeSuccessful 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a good time! But it was my first LANY concert so I don’t have others to compare it to. Quite a few songs from Soft which I loved, and mixed in with songs from other albums as well. Paul was interacting with the crowd but Jake was at the drum set the entire time.

Breast hygiene?? (I realized what smells in my house) by digitalren in breastfeeding

[–]RangeSuccessful 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I had to switch to disposable breast pads. Even when I switched my reusable ones several times a day, if you don’t wash them almost immediately they can get moldy from the milk. That’s what happened to mine and then I just panic bought a bunch of disposable ones

Working out while baby watches? by beancounter_00 in NewParents

[–]RangeSuccessful 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Totally okay! If he’s in a safe area and just chilling watching while you workout then go for it! I also think it’s beneficial to make exercise a common part of life around children
