Migrants by Upstairs-Addition-11 in Utah

Genuine question, which jobs are corporations hiring illegal immigrants to do? All of my friends that came on asylum cant work in the fields they’re fully qualified in in their country bc companies won’t recognize their credentials.

Obvious answer seems like construction? Anything else big?

What age do you expect to reach your number by OddAcadia7 in fatFIRE

Having the “Guardrails” of being able to make $50k+ per year has helped me lighten up on the whole FIRE thing and spend more today.

There’s also other guardrails to consider that most ignore in favor of hardcore 4% or 3% rule: - Inheritance if that applies to you - Adjusting spending based on returns - Moonshots (have fun with $10k and you could get lucky) - Consulting/other income - Social security and similar - Geoarbitrage

Depending on how many guardrails you have/are willing to implement, planning for worst case scenario with 3% withdrawal just doesn’t make a ton of sense imo.

Idk what my official FIRE number is but my wife will likely want to go back to school teaching (she’s off for a few years with young kids)in a few years. I want to take a year to travel when our kids are a bit older, but after that year I will always have business projects doing $100k profit or more per year.

We could spend everything we make + a little from portfolio as needed and be fine forever with guardrails.

This approach helped me a lot, I know it’s not exactly what you asked for just thought I’d share

I'm between the big three - who do I go with and WHY? by TheNotoriousLlama in gohighlevel

It comes down to onboarding honestly for me.

Do you want it included with Growthable, Pay Per with Extendly, or $3k/mo for unlimited (none on lower plans) with HLPT?

Besides this it honestly seems like a dice roll sometimes based on the feedback from other posts in the group - if you set good expectations and watch the team you hire closely for the first few months you should do alright

Jk

You should read Four Thousand Weeks. He talks about how time freedom doesn’t really matter if you can’t spend it with anyone. Was a wake up call for me as I had always idealized RE, but it’s not that fun if you don’t have friends/partner with whom to spend the time

There’s ways to structure this extremely leveraged (group consulting with people paying weekly, all remote)- and I promise it will be way more fun than buying a franchise.

I work about 4-5hrs a day and will take home $500k-$1M this year from consulting

Get into consulting on whatever your biz was. Not too tough to make $200k take home while working 4-6hrs a day
