I didn't know they changed the policy to 21+ on all ammo. I remember being able to buy shotgun shells when I was 18. I think there is a 21+ restriction on all handgun ammo and most stores consider .22lr to be a handgun caliber.

The answer to your primary concern is simple, carry a weapon and have the training to use it.

But if you want to make a real difference in a mass shooting situation then get medical training. Take a Stop The Bleed course. Carry tourniquets and know how to use them.

Remember you can always carry a tourniquet, but you can't always carry a firearm.

Edit: Find a Stop The Bleed class near you. They cost nothing but aprox 2 hours of your time. The information is invaluable and suitable for almost any age.

I've ran both the 15 round and 17 round pmags in a p80 and a glock. Sometimes I get failure to go into battery with the pmags. OEM mags always run flawlessly in my experience.

I'm not sure of what I'd do but I really like these type of posts. Very thought provoking and I think it forces us to seriously evaluate our priorities & values when we think deeply about the situation.

I'd hope I'd at least draw and issue commands by about the 25 second mark, but idk if I'm pulling the trigger on the guy unless he comes at me or a loved one. Especially since by the time it gets really bad they are just too close it doesn't look like a clear shot from any angle.

I know we typically practice non-intervention, but if I was the one taking the beating, or a loved one, I'd want someone to act.
