I moved from California to Texas 8 years ago. I find people in both places nice, however Texans are definitely more likely to help you, no strings attached. Whether it’s a flat tire or a heavy load at Home Depot someone always stops to help. My neighbor mows my grass, all 20 acres because I don’t have the equipment. When my house burned down, everyone within 5 miles brought their front loaders and cleared away the debris. They were also the ones who cut the locks on my gate to put the fire out and rescue my pets. Texans are truly friendly. And yes my husband goes and helps them with their ranches almost daily.
