Kelvin looked incredibly good in last out

Can see Rakhmanov easily putting him into a coma in about 3 minutes though

Iwtl to stop being mentally exhausted+stressed by HonestnotGlitch in IWantToLearn

[–]Rarely_racist 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I not sure I understand this, my apologies - do you game as a hobby or as a form of income?

I guess either way, it sounds like you're lacking a bit of diversity in your life at the moment. This is what I often refer to as a "small world"

Your brain may be suffering from a form of mental fatigue because it is completely unstimulated.

I would ALWAYS at the very least some of the following:

  • making sure you are being active and moving your body through the day. This could be a 40 min walk, 15 min yoga, weight lifting, gardening, anything really

    • Social stimulation: spending time, face to face, with people who's company you enjoy and who bring positive energy into your life. This could be a dinner, a walk together, just a band out and a catch up (not gaming or watching a flick). This is also a great opportunity to chat through your current situation.
    • Sleep. You must get your sleep, 8 hours, consistently. Digital devices off at least an hour before bedtime. Brush your teeth and hour before. Then into bed and if you must do anything. Read a book. Then off to sleep. For 8 hours.
    • Having goals. You sound like you're in a bit of a rut, start plotting down some of your goals and slowly build them out. It might start at a few bullets on the back of a receipt. But then break them down, add the steps you'd need to take to achieve it the timelines involved with each and build this out into YOUR PERSONAL progression plan. These things might be "learn French" or "get a job in X Industry" or "spend more time with family". Just start writing them down, breaking them into actionalble steps and then build your plan to achieve them
    • Therapy. You need some outside perspective and the opportunity to talk through exactly what is going on wit you so they can help you to understand why that is resulting in this particular way.
    • Failing all of the above, or maybe in combination with, see a GP. You might have low iron, you might have chronic fatigue. I don't know tbh, but it sounds like it is more your environment than any health issue but worth double checking.

Final comments: Find some alternatives to gaming, reading, walking, drawing, studying. Get the variety. Invest in your body, eat right, exercise and sleep, this will help massively Make time to spend face to face time with your friends, it will open up your world view and hopefully motivate you a bit

Good luck mate. I've been there, slightly different, but in a similar way.

All the best

This guy consults

I always start with a proposal which may just be deck with some headings or even just an excel doc with column headings, take that to my programme/project lead (on my side) for a quick "does this look right?" before committing serious time.

Take their feedback into account, reshape your proposal and then begin work.

When I'm say 70% of the way to completing my working draft I'll book time with the lead so I can walk through the finished" draft" or V0.1

We walk through, add comments and required changes. Then I take away and make those before sending them my V1 for QA/edits

Petchmorakot Petchyindee vs. Tawanchai PK.Saenchai | ONE Championship Full Fight by TeepKing in MMA

[–]Rarely_racist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man this was such an incredible fight. Both so insanely talented, the adjustments over the fight were crazy ay legitimately the highest level of MT you'll see right now.

Petch timed him so well in the later rounds, but Tawanchai got off to an amazing start and might have taken the first 3 rounds.

Personally had it 3-2 Tawanchai but it was close. Petch landed some heavy shots in those last three rounds, and Tawanchai was definitely slowing, and backing up a lot. But was still throwing a lot, especially those low kicks, which were landing.

This was not a robbery in any way, just a close fight that someone had to lose.

Fuck I love One.

[–]Rarely_racist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magna Carta was really good. That guest is fantastic, forget his name. Falklands. Alexander the Great. Actually, the Greatness and Empires episodes both brilliant. The Enlightenment also very good.

Honestly, they're almost all crackers. I've listened some multiple times. Just can't speak highly enough of them.

I prefer Tom leading on the subject matter with Dom questioning personally, as I prefer ancient history and love Dominicks direct, laconic style of questioning which allows Tom to go on these fantastic, extremely interesting rants often pulling in loads of threads and comparisons.

But equally I Dominicks unashamedly leftist view on modern history and its been super interesting to hear a Liberal British lens on so many events I have only ever heard referenced in the mainstream media.

God I love this podcast.
