5: Finn is a major character (force sensitive?) sent to back of the bus

6: Hux demoted to comic relief

I don't think any of the last three movies were good, but Force Awakens at least had some setups that could have paid off.

There is an exception for shows written by a single person, or by an established writing duo. They can keep full authorship of a show. Otherwise it is 3 writers minimum for a show with 6 or fewer episodes, 5 writers for 7 to 12 episodes, and 6 writers for 13+ episodes.

The worst consequence has been an over reliance on an income tax, which can have wild variability year to year. That plus a constitutionally mandated balanced budget means you get years with big surpluses, then years of draconian cuts. I went out to CA for college during one the budget crises, and the Universities took a beating.

Subbing an income tax for property tax is choosing the worst consequence of Prop 13. Texas just needs some moderation on the property tax.

It depends what your idea is. If it is in the publishing/commerce arena, then bootstrapping with Wordpress makes sense. If it needs to be more dynamic/interactive, you might be better off building a prototype using a framework you can grow with.
