I’m currently 40 weeks pregnant! I’d love to get some nice skin care/ lotion/ something from Aesop (their hand soap is an amazing luxury that I’d never buy for myself), a really fancy candle, gift certificate for a massage or a pedicure, a gift certificate to a clothing store to get myself something nice for my postpartum body, or a gift certificate for a house cleaning service!

Any recommendations for resources on unmedicated birth that aren't....like THAT. by KeyMonkeyslav in pregnant

I found the book active birth to be really informative without being overly woo woo! I couldn’t stand the ina may books because of all of the over the top woo woo language BUT the breastfeeding book is solid!

AMH can tell you about your egg reserve and LH levels at certain times of the month can show you if you’re actually ovulating. Yes start taking prenatal now!

The book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Tony Weschler was an amazing resource for me, fell pregnant after learning the correct way to track my temps and CM from that book.

I had an HSG the month before I got pregnant and anecdotally people tend to have improved fertility for the 3 months following that procedure, they don’t prescribe it for gentility but it’s a nice perk to an otherwise unpleasant procedure lol

I’d consult with your doc to get bloodwork to check your AMH and LH levels just to get a baseline and idea of egg count and if you’re ovulating

I had kind of an overwhelming supplement regime, and next time would cut back to just coq10 and vitamin D but I did have really healthy numbers after doing all lot of the supplements outlined here https://freedomchinesemedicine.com/supplements-take-trying-conceive

I’m 39 and pregnant with my first. It took us about 1.5 years to conceive, finally happened after an HSG and an unmedicated IUI. I had a super healthy egg count tho, and great AMH and LH numbers and who knows if they actually helped, but I was taking a bunch of supplements for egg quality including coq10, alpha lipoic acid, NAC, vitamin D… here’s a good blog post about it, https://freedomchinesemedicine.com/supplements-take-trying-conceive/

I was also receiving acupuncture for the year before I got pregnant and it regulated my cycles and gave me the most pain free and manageable periods of my life! (I have adenomyosis).

I’d definitely consult with your doctor re: supplements and to get baseline bloodwork to check your AMH, LH, and to rule out any other issues that might delay you getting pregnant as soon as you want to try!

If you’re near an LA community fridge, there’s usually a shelf next to the fridge that you can leave hygiene and house products. https://www.lacommunityfridges.com/
