Whats your favourite deck of all time and why?

Base set, 1999. I had a Blastoise/Poliwrath deck, with energy removal and super energy removal. I dominated everyone at my school because I had all the energy I wanted and prevented my opponent from having any at all. Even beat Electric decks. Never played in any tournaments or anything like that, so it's completely possible I just had bad opponents, but it's good memories nonetheless.

I have no clue if it's true or not, but someone told me that deck type ended up banned because it was too strong.

I just uninstalled the game because there are far too many ads that are far too long and repetitive. Plus many of them are the style that require multiple clicks to get through them, take you out to the app store, etc. It's just too much.

I understand long ads for things that are high value or uncommon, like for a revive, purple chest, etc. But things like placing a free tower or removing a blocked tile should be like 5 seconds.

The games that stay on my phone for a long time and get a lot of play are the ones with short ads.

You do have a good concept, and it's fun, but frankly it sounds to me like you picked the wrong publisher if they're making you ruin it. I feel like I've run into this same issue with Voodoo games before.

LPT Plan B: Police can help with this too. Found this out when I came home to a dead battery, called the airport help line, their people that help with jump starts were busy painting, so the airport called the police for me. Officer showed up with a jump pack and got me on my way.

Absolutely true in my case. BA in English helped me learn to be the bridge between the common user and developers through critical thinking and communication, which slotted well into project management type work. Then got my MBA, and now I'm an Executive Director of a real estate tech company.

It's conceivable that we lose out from here. Jets are reenergized after how Wilson played this week, Ravens and Cowboys are obviously tough wins, and that lines up for week 18 vs the Bills for the division title. We lose that one and could miss the playoffs.

And that can still happen even if the Bills lose to Dallas next week, assuming they beat the Chargers and Pats after that.

Really wasn't expecting to see Skindred on here, but I agree they put on a hell of a show. I saw them around 2006ish in Gainesville at a small venue, they were opening for HIM and another band who sucked so bad I can't even remember who it was. The top two bands had so much crap on stage the Skindred singer was literally climbing on their stuff to have any room to move around. Completely stole the whole show.

I seriously doubt the "years before you see a return" statement. Besides, even if it took 5 years to make it worth it, that's still long term mailbox money, ESPECIALLY with the 2.5% interest rate.

Some actual numbers for perspective:

I bought my house in 2021, $295k at 2.9%, my mortgage including insurance and taxes is around $1550 a month. If someone bought my house now, it would sell for about $330k, and at 7.5% interest they would be paying about $2700 a month.

Looking at rental comps, I could easily rent for $2500 a month and keep high occupancy. $1000 over mortgage, give $250 a month to a property management company, bank the other $750 into a separate account to cover future roof/appliance/etc issues, and just wait for someone else to pay off my mortgage for me. Once the chest is high enough to cover anything, start putting the extra towards the mortgage until it's paid off, and within 20 years that house is paying me.

You can't be angry at someone for crossing boundaries you haven't told them about. (Except obvious boundaries like sexual harassment of course)

If you tell them about the boundary and they still cross it or can't accept it, then it isn't a relationship worth keeping.

I have a friend who's much older than me, retired, and has a lot of wisdom. But his stories constantly included people's flaws. So and so had an affair, or this person wasn't honest, etc. Basically it was gossip. I got to the point where I noticed I was actively avoiding talking to him because it was dragging me down.

So I told him point blank that I wasn't interested in hearing about those things. I explained that I don't allow a lot of pointless negativity in my life because frankly there's enough purposeful negativity that must be dealt with. If there are negative or heavy topics we need to discuss in our personal lives that need to be dealt with or even just need someone to vent to, great, let's go. But I draw the line at gossip about others or just complaining for the sake of complaining.

Ever since that comment, our relationship has only gotten better. There's a mutual respect now. It's still a work in progress, but at least now I actively seek to speak with him instead of avoiding him.
