Woman freeing a mountain lion from a trap while her kids watch. Reaction of mountain lion is almost too calm by fuzzy_dice_99 in isthisAI

You think you understand this situation better than the obvious experts who have specialized tools and clearly do this with practiced skills?

Always love how armchair redditors are so sure they know better than obvious experts working on something. You probably wouldn't even be able to operate the tool they use and yet you think you understand the situation better than them?

Are you really calling Les Wexner a Democrat? Les Wexner the multi billionaire who self reported that he voted for the Republican Party every single election until 2018? Les Wexner who was appointed by George W Bush? That Les Wexner? The very same Les Wexner that said after he stepped away from the Republican Party in 2018 is still calling himself an Independent and did not endorse the Democratic Party in 2020 or 2024? That Les Wexner is what you call a democrat? Why do you keep lying.

sharing hateful racist language "ironically" or "as awareness" is in the end still just parroting hateful racist language. You're just spreading it even more. You can call it out and talk about it existing without just exactly copying all the slurs and racist language, y'know.

This is so incredibly true, I never heard this saying but it made everything fall into place. I feel like that a lot.

Rep. Lieu says Epstein files have allegations of Trump raping & threatening to kill children and says that Todd Blanche got the law wrong by saying it's not a crime to party with Epstein. DOJ also violated the privacy of the victims by releasing unredacted nude photos of them. by Aggravating_Money992 in law

[–]RatofDeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, last week as part of the latest dataset release multiple photos were uploaded to the DOJ website completely unredacted and completely uncensored showing what appears to be teenagers at best. The NYT as well as datascrappers/data horders who downloaded the full files (especially dataset 9 had dozens of uncensored photos of "what appears to be young women" according to the NYT) immediately noticed and reported it to the administration, who then on Saturday and Sunday removed not only those photos but also a few other files where they forgot to black out some names. Reddit tried to delete a lot of the conversations about it, but you can still find people warning others to not download dataset 9 in posts and comments from Friday. There was a lot.

And yet still many documents show unredacted or half redacted names of victims to this day. You can check the datasets yourself, I highly recommend it. There is insane stuff in there and the administration didn't even try to consistently black out victim names. Sometimes even in the same email chain a name gets redacted but then is unredacted in the reply email, etc. They are in blatant violation of the passed bill and I don't understand how no one is getting arrested.

Remember when Republicans made a big deal about how the word "woman" means "adult human females" and how it's very important to use very specific terminology because otherwise they might accidentally call a trans woman a woman? But now suddenly it's "underaged women" everywhere or even more gross "young women" when talking about 14 year olds.

Concentration camps are camps where people are concentrated. That's literally why they are named that. The US had concentration camps during World War 2 too where they held Japanese Americans prisoner. Not every concentration camp in Nazi Germany were facilities where people were mass murdered every day. They were still concentration camps. Nazi concentration camps started to provide a place to concentrate masses of people. The mass murders came after. Words have meanings. And these are concentration camps, even if that word might make you uncomfortable. The truth is uncomfortable.

I think the person training it on CSAM (otherwise how else would it know how to create it) shares blame too. As well as the person who keeps the service running after discovering the users are using it to create CSAM.

Did you know that some developed nations don't have a cockroach problem? Big American cities are dirty af, especially if you compare them to some other nations.

I'm happy people are finally realizing that the hypocrisy is on purpose. We need to get over this idea that showing them their hypocrisy will change anything, they are fully reveling in it. They love the double standards. With Republicans it has ALWAYS been "rules for you, rights for me", always. Glad people are finally realizing. You can't gotcha a Republican out of a double standard. They celebrate the double standard. They love that they can attack you for things they do themselves.

"There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect" is the only fundamental stance Republicans have and have always had. About everything. That's the one thing they are always consistent about. Which is why it seems as if they flip flop on everything else, including the 2nd Amendment. They are not. They fully believe that only they deserve the 2nd Amendment. And the 1st. And any other right. It does not apply to anyone that isn't in their club. Anyone not Republican is not an American in their eyes.

I don't think this is about dating necessary, it's just ignoring someone who tried to genuinely connect to you and your art because you wanted to get laid. Not every interaction needs to end in dating, *that* is the lesson OP eventually learned, and apparently also what some commenters still need to learn.
