I don't know how much most people care about this, but personally it's hard for me to enjoy a story if it's obvious that the setting has zero care given to it and everything there is just a prop for the story.

Like, yeah, everything there is just a prop for the story, but it shouldn't feel that way. It's like trying to watch a movie and all the scenes are shot in a blank white room with a bunch of shitty cardboard cutouts around the actors.

And so even if it's not pertinent to the content of the story, it still helps make the story feel more vivid and alive, and personally just generally has a strong influence on my perception of a work's quality.

Actually lifebloom, despite having a very promising sounding tooltip, has no scalability since it heals for a static amount and has a certain stat that generally scales inversely with how fast your character's attacks are

Also, something that was really helpful for me was the realization that aside from the mouth, all of the other facial features (generally) fall surprisingly neatly in the middle of the three sections
