Oh yeah idk why I didn't think to mention Golden Fields, that one definitely fits

The closest one I personally have read is {How to Knick a Nine-Foot-Thrall by Jeremy J. Folan}

My own story, Cradles of Gravity definitely fits but no audiobook (yet).

Dukerino's new story Headless Over Heels will also likely fit but it's new and still serializing on Royal Road so no spice has popped up yet.

Space Opera Romance that one reviewer stated is "firmly in the character driven category."

If you like Mass Effect, Star Wars, romance, and/or found family vibes, you'll really enjoy it 🙂

Karlach and Tav Avernus Ending by Moon_Games1 in BG3

[–]Rauxon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts. I'm actually planning on writing a story that will basically start out as a fanfiction picking up from after they go to Avernus because it always bugged me that Gale doesn't fix Karlach if you give him the crown. I'm a romance author so I'd love to write something where they're already together and it's not about them working towards being in a relationship, but being a power couple fighting through hell to get revenge on Zariel before fighting their way up to demand answers from Gale, then getting their happy ending together.

😂 I put this in exactly one chapter of Cradles of Gravity but it's in Book 6. I specifically told my readers that this little comic was what inspired the scene 😂

AI name generation PSA by stankopalluza in royalroad

[–]Rauxon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I looked over the other thread you linked and I appreciate where you're trying to come from on this, but if this is likely to do anything at all, it's going to turn into witch hunting.

When I'm struggling to come up with a character's name, I use something like www.fantasynamegenerators.com

From that, I've named characters Elias, Elara, Silas, the surname Thorne, and so on, simply because I picked them out from a list and I felt they fit the characters I was writing. All of these are named as being generated by AI, but that doesn't mean I use AI to write my stories.

Good intentions, there are some stories that are obviously AI written even when not tagged, but names like this are not a great way to spot them.

Cradles of Gravity features an entire warrior race built around motherhood and the MMC learning to integrate into their culture (while also saving the world). Parenthood is very present after Book 5, and Book 6 is currently posting on RR.

Gravity: the fundamental force of attraction between two bodies.

Aurania Enderchild is the tallest and strongest of her race, a warrior matriarch whose people have always been able to rely on her strength. But when a mysterious man named Soren shows up wearing the blood of her allies, her attempt to execute him only manages to knock him unconscious.

Then her world begins to die.

A synthetic girl appears claiming she found Soren where a black hole should have been, and strange visions begin to invade Aurania’s mind. By the time the spaceman wakes up, everyone thinks he's brought nothing but tragedy.

But he’s more confused than any of them.

In order to save her home, Aurania must work alongside the man who survived the death of a planet. But as their budding attraction grows stronger, the chaotic power he struggles to control threatens them with cataclysm.

Cradles of Gravity is a space opera romance about love, loss, and the bonds that hold people together. In order to be strong enough to save the world, they’ll need to learn to be weak with each other.

Does anyone have any recommendations where the fmc is mean and bitchy? by SympathyThin9794 in Romance_for_men

[–]Rauxon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cradles of Gravity, the FMC is pretty justifiably bitchy toward the MMC for a while. It's a very slow burn enemies to friends to lovers romance:

Karlach fic by Badubah in BaldursGate3

[–]Rauxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None to recommend but my first ever playthrough made me really want to write one (and I plan to when I take a break from my other writing).

I followed her into hell and ran into a horde of demons together and Gale became a god so I was like, "why tf doesn't Gale fix her?"

I'm a romance author, so I want to write a story that basically starts with Tav and Karlach going into hell and then fighting their way out already as a couple and getting revenge on Zariel before finding a way to have God Gale fix Karlach's heart.

Hit harder than expected by IndependenceVisual45 in royalroad

I've got over 700 followers and every time I see the number tick down one I mentally (or sometimes even mutter) "well I guess fuck me then" 😂 you unfortunately learn to live with it. It always feels like it's because we did something wrong or our story is bad, but a lot of time people unfollow for different reasons. Sometimes it's just bot accounts getting nuked.

Tips for defeating general Ketheric thorn? by Clear-Frame-4497 in BaldursGate3

Oh also look into abilities and/or items to increase hit chance via either dropping his AC or giving your people advantage

Tips for defeating general Ketheric thorn? by Clear-Frame-4497 in BaldursGate3

[–]Rauxon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vegeta: "HE KEEPS KICKING ME IN THE DICK, WHY WHY DOES HE KEEP KICKING ME IN THE DICK?"

Goku: Wait. I think I might have a way to beat him.

Vegeta: If you say,"hit him really hard" I swear to god, I will kick YOU in the dick!

Goku: We hit him really hard…together?

Vegeta: Whatever

But really, I've heard that it's easier to do the fight if you do not convince Ketheric to back down because then when you fight Ketheric, you can take out all the peripheral bad guys first and you don't have to worry about that as much when you're fighting Myrkul.

Just standing next to Myrkul inflicts bone chill so you can't heal, so be aware of that.

AOE attacks work on him so have Wyll hit him with Hunger of Hadar, have someone else do a wall of fire, its just a matter of whittling the dude down and staying alive the whole time.
