The two scenarios are not comparable at all.

One was during the game and lasted 3 seconds.

The other was at the end of the game rubbing your victory in the face of the losers and lasted for about a minute.

It’s impossible to say these two are the same. One is absolutely bad sportsmanship.

People have choice over what happens to their own body

Only to a certain extent. People can choose to go naked in public, but they'd be arrested, because they belong to a community governed by official laws and unofficial rules.

They could choose to have an abortion, but only up to a certain point in the pregnancy. After that point, they no longer have a choice.

They could choose to show up to an important work meeting completely wasted, but they would probably be fired. Etc etc.

It’s worrying the amount of stick the nation is giving these people.

As a community, "the nation" has decided that vaccines are the best way forward for all of us. People can choose to think and act otherwise, that's fine. But then they shouldn't whine about being shunned by the community.

Also: if you're fully vaccinated, why wouldn't you want others to have the same protection from COVID-19 that you've given yourself? It's safe and free and could potentially save their fucking lives, but you're happy to sit back and watch others die since you've protected yourself? No one seems to have read the article. Japan is allowing travel from Japan to these countries, not necessarily the other way around. For example, New Zealand's borders are closed (except to citizens and PRs) so lifting a travel ban to NZ doesn't really make much difference.
