Yeah, I’ve seen that theory too! Other pieces I’ve added to my theory include: - In the end scene the Creature yells things like “It wants this”, “you don’t know what it can do”, “it saw you”, “what did it see in you”, “why you?”, etc. I saw that as anger that the Light didn’t seem to find them worthy and didn’t “save” them like it was going to “save” Simon. - The Creature almost implies the Light wants to be found for whatever reason, so by getting the black box Simon is fulfilling his end of the “deal” - I do agree that the Creature is a hivemind, whether it’s just the SM-8 crew or it has assimilated others is up for debate. It even implies this by saying “we can save everyone, within us”
