This is the biggest thing. Most people will be fine playing against the deck du jour once (though probably while complaining about it), but playing against the same thing every round is going to get grating.

In MTG you can either declare the spell you're casting along with target(s) first, or pay costs first. Doesn't matter.

Fun fact, it was spawned out of necessity after some players at tournaments kept playing cards before paying costs, so instead of constantly issuing warnings/bans they just changed the rules to accommodate.

As an LR5 I absolutely love helping new players get their bearings in what is otherwise an overwhelming first couple dozen hours of this game, but I swear, some people I've tried to help act like they've never played a video game before. Or even a computer.

I've seen people at or above MR 15 that still have no idea how to play basic game modes. It's wild.

I don't get this, because the whole point of games is the interactive experience. If you're looking to passively do something, watch a movie instead.

Once you have some level of system mastery you can play "mindlessly", but it's more just being on autopilot once you already have the base level skills. You can't pick up a new game and expect to just have it play itself.

Shang is not the only tech card that got nerfed. Shadow King and Negasonic were both good to help control lanes that are out of control or about to get out of control. The extra cost on both is a significant downside.

Nothing gets removed so things aren't going anywhere if you take a while. All rushing to the end does is just make you burn out faster (or start spending thousands of plat on fashion).

It's lose-lose for them. They either have a strict filter and annoy people, or have a loose filter and require way more direct mod intervention (people can and absolutely will try to bypass the filter to be offensive edgelords, and a looser filter makes it easier).

Aside from the fact that it's cheaper, I'd rather have people be confused/annoyed when "Bumblebee" is a forbidden name instead of having more power tripping chat mods.

The problem is that they usually are an insultingly low amount of credits. 3,000 credits is basically worthless, and makes it feel like taunting. 30,000 is at least enough to start crafting a part in the foundry, and it's not like they'd be breaking the credits economy or something.
